I'm going to Tulsa for work. It's for a site visit so I can schedule it whenever during 4th quarter months and I'm looking at going in mid-November. I'm thinking my trip will look like fly out of PHL on Saturday, enjoy myself Sunday, work Monday, fly home Tuesday.
So... tell me about Tulsa. I like breweries and (vegetarian) good eats. I'll have a day and a couple of evenings to explore. I plan on staying downtown, as where I need to be for work is off 44 and looks to be about a 15 minute drive from downtown so I might as well stay where all the good stuff is.

Well, yeah. That's one of the first things I looked up before deciding if I wanted to take this assignment. Just wanted to see if anyone had any specific recommendations. Judging by the responses... nope. Lol.

A friend of mine used to live in Tulsa. I went out to visit her, and don’t really remember anything particularly interesting about the city. Sorry.....

They have a great western art museum and steak is the good of choice (I know you said vegetarian). Anyway, I have been there a couple of times and the downtown was nice, I’m sure you’ll find something to keep you busy.

Judging by the responses... nope. Lol. Yeah...I went out for a work thing last year and rented a car to visit my family that are within a couple hours of the city. Mostly so that I could check that off the list, but I didn't miss anything fun that the coworkers did.

The Gathering Place is amazing, but since you’re not going with a kid, probably not on your to-do list. ;-)
I grew up 90 miles north of there, and that’s where we went for a shopping mall, but there’s not a ton of stuff to do. The museums are small but interesting if you like that sort of thing. Definitely good steak and Mexican food options.

I drove to Tulsa in the summer of 2009 to see Paul McCartney. I didn't do much except eat, see the concert and head to Dallas the next morning.
I'm of no help.

Reviving my old thread. Tulsa was pretty cool. Lots of Art Deco buildings. Lots of breweries and good eating and drinking. Loved the Woody Guthrie Center. I had no problem finding plenty of vegetarian and vegan meals everywhere we went. Hubs planned on getting BBQ while I was working but he opted for a Chicago dog at a beer hall instead. It was a good work trip!
