Looks like Trump was right. I said he was right. in a certain way.
I could also mention that SA has reserves that it can use. but that is actually not the point at all. prices are going to go higher because this happened. hopefully you get WHY.

As a former contributor to the Oil and Gas journal. You could say I understand the energy markets. Do you remember my old continuous running thread on market talk @ msn and here. It was just a summary of the article I wrote for O & G Journal.

The thread was called 'Energy Price and Supply' if I'm remembering correctly. It's been a few years and my brain is getting old.

Monday evening gasoline for regular was $2.449 in Indiana National news reported gasoline prices would rise about 25 to 30 cents starting Tuesday. Told my wife, we will be $.40 a gallon higher than tonight. I was incorrect. Four of five closest stations to our house were all $2.899. Thank you Casey's General, as they were still at $2.449 at 9 am, and are usually the last to adjust pricing. Three of the stations were Speedway which pretty much sets the pricing that the others match.

$2.37 - $2.48 here. I don't buy often so I don't know if it increased much lately.

Does anyone believe S.A. will have most of production back on line in weeks rather than a year? Here in the states a refinery that has a fire is usally out of commision for six months to over a year. In S.A. they say 20 drone attacks as well as how many missles, and damage is minimal or at least not bad. Leads to several thoughts 1. the attack was from a gang that cannnot shoot straight and are inept. 2. S.A. is not being honest about the length of time to repair the actual damage. 3. Unlikely, but may be an alleged attack staged to look like it came from Iran, but is not, to start another war and we will never know who actually did this......

So, how do they repair the majority of this damage in a month? If they do, we better have S.A. experts come here when we have the next accidental fire at a refinery here in the states. They can fix it in a month instead of a year.

Do they have news related price gouging in your area, actual cost, lag time, being what it is ? I paid $2.11 last week for regular I paid $2.11 this morning for regular. price gouging is common out here. that is because we have limited refinery capacity due to higher emissions standards. Yeah- that sounds like a California problem.
