How early do you get up for work? I usually get up at 5:30, but had to get up at 3:00am today to catch a plane. Now I’m well caffeinated and can look forward to a big crash during my meetings this afternoon.

On a normal workday it is up at 4:30, out the door by 6 and at my desk around 7. I need my wake up time on the computer with some caffeine. We are in the middle of a large upgrade and for a whole lot of this summer it has been up at 3:30 to be to work by 6.

I telecommute, so in a pinch I can get up at 7:45 to be signed in for work by 8:00. However my normal routine is to get up at 6:30, take care of the cat, read the news, and be ready to start work at 8:00.

During the school year, up at 5:30am out the door between 6-6:10 and at work at 7.
During the summer break or any major school breaks like Christmas, I can sleep a little later and leave later. Traffic is that much better.
If I'm working at home I usually get up at 6:30 to be logged in by 7.

I'm retired so I will leave the serious answers to the working pEEps! O&O

I get up at 5.30. Wake up my youngest girl at 6 and oldest at 6.30 for breakfast. Leave the house just after 7 to drop off the first girl at school and then I'm in the office by 7.30.

I get up at 6, and I'm out the door by about 6:30. I'm definitely a "stumble out the door with my eyes still closed" type. It doesn't help that the entire house is asleep when I leave, so being quiet and dark contributes.

I should get up by 6. It's usually closer to 6:15.
If it's just me I can be out the door in 20 minutes or so (including feeding and letting the horses out), and to work by 7am, but with the kids I'm normally punching in at about 7:15.

You're supposed to time your caffeine for after the flight so you have some hope of napping through it.
I'm up at 5:20, at work by 6.

It depends on the day, and what else is going on. I normally get up anywhere between 4 and 7 in the morning.

when I was driving to work, I would wake up between 3-330 to be at the office for 6. now that I'm taking the train, it's 5-530 most days. 7ish train, and I'm at my desk by 9.

I have the luxury of most days not having a time that I have to be at my office. I am the "top dog" at the site and the people who technically work for me have learned they will see me when they see me. It actually works well because I am in town and my maintenance guy calls periodically for me to pick up some part from the hardware store he needs to fix something he found not working when he get to work at 6:30/7:00. I also get calls from the kitchen staff to get things for them from time to time. Emails I just respond to from home if they pop up on my phone. I find myself rolling into my work just about 9 when I am not really paying attention to the clock. Some mornings the discussions on the board make it later.

Up between 7:45 and 8:00 am at the office by 8:30 am. I shower at night and ISO hands me my Contigo of coffee on my way out the door.

For days I'm in the office (three days a week), I'm out of bed at 5:40, leave at 6:35 to catch a 6:40 train, at my office around 7:35 following my coffee stop. Work from home days (twice a week), I get up at 7:15, log on, answer emails, shower.

I have the luxury of most days not having a time that I have to be at my office. ditto. almost every day, actually, and there's the flexibility to WFH enough as well. some days I only see 5-6h in the office because I am working from the train and/or logging in from home. I'm nowhere close to top dog, but we are managing manufacturing operations remotely. as long as I have an internet connection, or plan really well ahead of time to grab copies of stuff from servers, I can do my job from anywhere.

I get up at 6:15, lay in bed until 6:30, workout until 7:20 or so. Kids are usually awake at this point, so will make sure they are ready and get everything together for their school bag/lunches/water bottles. Take them to school at 8:15, leave for work around 8:30, at work around 8:50.

If I'm working out before work, I'm up at 5am and am to work by 8:15.
If I'm working out after work, I'm up at 6:15 and am to work by 8:15.
My day oddly starts at 8:15 and while I could realistically get there later with no repercussions, most of my job is customer facing, so I make it a point to be there on time.

I work at 6 pm tonight, I've been up since 10 am :/
My alarms are set for 4:20 and 4:30 when I work a day shift, and I leave the house by 5:35 (to arrive by 5:45 for a decent turnover/release time. If I'm relieving someone who shows up early, I'll try to be there by 5:35).
For night shifts, I set my alarms for 4:30 and 4:45. I leave by the same time, but I can get moving faster in the afternoon, even if I manage to sleep until my alarm goes off. Usually I'm awake by 2 though, sometimes earlier. I do sleep a lot better when I work nights-- in bed by 7, so even if I'm up at noon, I've had at least 5 hours of sleep. Usually I power through and don't get up until after 2, unless I have stuff I need to do before work.

I get up at 1:30am to get to work for 3am. It's a 35 minute commute. It's me, the trucks and the drunks out there so I want to be sure that I'm truly awake before I hit the road.

Now I’m well caffeinated and can look forward to a big crash during my meetings this afternoon. I love the early early flights when I am traveling east. If I get up at 3, eat lunch on the plane and get in bed at 9 pm wherever I am. Easy peasy to be on the new time zone and pop out of bed on day 2. I started that after I was late to a meeting and got belittled and berated by some a-hole. I apologized 14 times and totally took responsibility, but he kept on, until I finally said "My fault, I apologize one more time, now knock it off." It wasn't a good day for either of us, and I knew a repeat would be a total turd, so I had to have a new method.

I often wake up at 1 or 2am and can’t go back to sleep. BF’s alarm starts blaring at 4:30am, which annoys me. Even though it’s loud, he doesn’t always hear it, and he doesn’t get up til we’ll after 5 anyway. My alarm starts going off at 5am, I always hit snooze a few times. I’m out the door by 6:30 to make it to work at 7. Some days I go in at 6am, and my alarm and routine is exactly 1 hour earlier.

My alarm is set for 5:30, however, I am always awake before it goes off. I get up at 5:25. Get myself ready, get kids moving and when they get on the bus I head into work and will get there by 8:00 am. It only takes me 35 minutes to get ready - the rest of the time I am making breakfast, doing dishes, thinking about what to have for dinner and getting the laundry going. Oh, and take the dog out and feed him.

I wish those options were more available when I've had to go overseas, those have typically been redeye flights for me. I actually booked a redeye back from PHX in a few weeks b/c it didn't occur to me to look for other options. I'll land at 630am and just go work from home that day.

OMG here I was feeling sorry for myself for having to wake up at 6 to leave home at 6.45. 40 min commute each way. That's 2-3 times a week, some days I start later.
I cannot even imagine having to wake up before 6 am. Kudos to you people who wake up during the night.

I get up at 6 am. During the summer I work early, so I leave the house at 6:30 and arrive around 7:15.
The rest of the year my hours are 9:30 to 6:00 so I leave the house at 8:40 due to traffic.
I still wake up at 6:00 and work out in the morning.

When i was working I would get up around 0500. This gave me several hours to wake up and have a couple cups of coffee while reading the paper version of the news.
In the office no later than 0830.
