How much do you spend on checks?

I bought new checks some months back I think I payed about $30 for them I just wanted checks with my current address since I've been here 7 years already 😂.

I was talking with a customer the other day and she said she just spent $150 on checks. Her husband asked her how many checks does she write... She said about 3-4 a month 😂.

I was thinking I was doing pretty well at not writing checks but then in the past week:
1.  Check to local parochial school in response to an appeal from neighbor's kids.
2.  Check to the school where I'm taking theology classes toward a lay preaching license- not a giant accredited school and I'm not even sure they take plastic. 
3.  Checks to two of my grandkids' 529 accounts.  I was able to use the brokerage app to deposit them by taking pictures of the checks but I still had to write the checks.
4.  Check to the ministry school's Scholarship Fund.

I'm not quite as check-less as I thought.

Yes. I'll go for awhile writing none, but in the last week:

1. Check to my DIL for a Costco run for me.
2. Check to the guy who stained and painted our porch extension ramp and stairs
3. Check to the guy who cuts our lawn
4. Check to the exterminator coming tomorrow
5. And, of course, my infamous check deposit to the CU that went to an old address where they no longer were (got returned FINALLY)

Many small businesses do a surcharge if you want to use CC.  The caregiving service that I am using at the end of the month is one of those.  So is the painter, lawn person, and exterminator.

The small  businesses here also charge a surcharge.  I pay them through my banks online banking.  They get a check, but it's issued by the bank.  

I average two checks a month.

Mine want payment upon completion.  They don't accept "the check's in the mail" either. which is how my bank's online banking works!

The two checks I write are to neighbor for mowing or snow removal and to cleaning company.

Everyone else has billed me, so I send them a check via online bill pay.
