"Hockey Stick" hoaxer, Michael Mann has filed a libel suit against skeptics who called him out for his fraudulent claims. This is a YUGE blow to the entire man-made global warming (formerly man-made ice age, now "climate change") propaganda machine. While the defendants were stopped short by the plaintiff's refusal to release his fraudulent data for examination-- data upon which, again, the entire case for man-made "climate change" rests-- there's another case pending in the US against Mark Steyn wherein Steyn has counter-sued Mann for $10 million dollars-- which will be the effective END of the neo-pagan earth-worshipper's man-made climate apocalypse eschatology. Because so many people are confused about the difference between where a story is REPORTED and the SOURCE of the story- I have provided some assistance: REPORTED BY: POWERLINE BLOG: www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2019/08/michael-mann-refuses-to-produce-data-loses-case.phpSOURCE: THE SUPREME COURT OF BRITISH COLUMBIA: www.desmogblog.com/sites/beta.desmogblog.com/files/Mann-Ball%20Libel%20Claim.pdf

... filed a libel suit ... another case pending ... I am just not seeing such law suits as becoming the definitive word on the climate change issue.

If ALL of anthropogenic global warming theory didn't depend on the "hockey stick" which is based on fraudulent and manipulated data from three (3) tree rings-- then yeah. But it is. It's totally dependent-- everything goes back to this foundational fraud.

I’ll take it that you don’t believe in climate change?! You don’t have to, it is not mandatory! I don’t believe in trickle down economics but what do I know? I’m not an economist! And to hell with future generations, they’ll cross that bridge when they get to.

Right. Greenland's ice is melting faster than anyone thought possible, Alaska is HOT, the Northwest passage is open to cruise ships, extreme weather is hitting all parts of the globe, but because a "hockey stick" is in dispute, it's not happening.
American Republicans are the dumbest people on the planet.

And to hell with future generations, they’ll cross that bridge when they get to. 1. I believe that the earth has been warming since about the end of the last ice age. There was a brief period called the Maunder Minimum where this changed, and the recent cooling period of the last 14 or 15 years. 2. The Laffer curve is tested and proven. No computer models with "assumptions" required. 3. I like Scott Adam's "law of slow moving disasters". We have time to deal with things- sea walls, and other adaptations which don't require a sudden and dramatic ruination of the economy and the enslavement of all of humanity under the autocratic control of a global governing authority in the name of saving the planet. First of all- I say adaptation-- because that's what is required. It seems likely the planet will continue warming. Since there's no evidence of any sort of influence on the climate by humans- there's nothing we can do to slow or stop it. Certainly not by a handful of sparsely populated Western countries dramatically changing our way of life when you have China, India, Indonesia, et al emitting the vast majority of the CO2-- which isn't a pollutant or any cause for concern anyway. 4. One thing I would like to see is more action on the environment from the real threats-- pollution and outright litter, and especially the pollution of the oceans which comes from China, Indonesia, Philippines, African nations, Bangledesh, Haiti and other shitholes.

Pretty much the entire planet is on board, except for the 2.2% who are American conservatives. Kind of like flat-earthers and anti-vaxxers. They'll deny it even as they're bursting into flames. They'd rather double down than admit they were wrong, much like their idiot POTUS.

The Glacier That Produced the 'Titanic’ Iceberg Has Suddenly Stopped FlowingAfter a period of losing 66 feet of ice per year, the Jakobshavn Glacier is growing again—but that doesn’t mean glaciers aren’t in trouble In recent years, however, temperature measurements show that ocean water in Disko Bay has experienced a series of cooler years – more than one degree lower than mean temperature previously observed,” Hogg says in the press release. “This has reduced the rate of ice melt on Jakobshavn Isbrae [Glacier].” But that doesn’t mean the Jakobshavn is necessarily growing overall. Snowfall is not keeping up the amount of ice lost by the glacier, meaning that over the long term, the glacier is still shrinking. What this all means for sea-level rise, however, is complicated. The Jakobshavn Glacier drains just 7 percent of Greenland’s ice, reports Cockburn, and thinning and melting are still occurring all over the island. In fact, a study in PNAS released in January found that Greenland’s ice sheet is melting four times faster than it was in 2003. But most of that ice loss isn’t coming from glaciers calving off into the sea. It turns out the warming of the atmosphere is also melting ice, which is discharged via rivers and streams that flow into the ocean. Interactions between the ice and warming atmosphere, researchers are beginning to understand, are important elements in the melting of the ice sheet as well as loss of glacial ice. I guess that's why the Northwest Passage is now open to behemoth cruise ships.....because the ice is getting thicker. Look, we all know why the the Republicans refuse to say it's happening...for the same reason they want to gut SS, Medicare, and oppose universal healthcare and paid maternity leave. It might cost them something.
Your Jesus would be horrified. You ARE the money-changers in the temple.

That pollution you speak of, perpetrated by all these “shithole countries” happens at the behest of American owned corporations. For example, try finding/asking the location of a Monsanto manufacturing plant on a map. And that one is one of the biggest polluters! Why do you think all the pollution happens elsewhere but the money keeps coming back here? Is China a big polluter? Or India and Indonesia? Sure, but have you looked at a label? On anything, not relevant what! We, as in “the Americans” buy shit from everyone, from everywhere. Why is it made elsewhere? Because labor is cheaper and authorities are easily convinced to give approvals in exchange for a fistful of dollars and a carton of Marlboro!
But to get back to climate change, yes humans do have an impact! Not of a big size but enough to matter! Nature is a funny thing at regulating itself. Imagine if you will a big clock. The perfect balance is at 11:50 am. And the earth managed to stay there for a long- long time! Then the industrial revolution came, the population exploded and the clock started creeping towards 12:00(noon) When it hits noon, is all but a downhill ride, there is no stopping. Right now, we are at about 11:59 am fast moving towards noon. And those last nine minutes we put them on in the last 150 years!

It's easy to say all these government-funded lab-coat wearing people agree. Of course they do- do you have any idea what happens to climate apostates?

I didn't see anything in there about man-made warming? Was it in there? I looked- maybe I missed it? Of course not- I'm just giving you a hard time. There is no evidence for anthropogenic global warming. However, as I have stated many times on this forum- I realize that the earth is warming. I'm not sure anyone debates that (thought the last decade and a half or so, there's been a pause). However, the planet has been warming since the end of the last ice age and there is no "hockey stick" at the start of the industrial revolution.

Sometimes, “malarkey” is necessary so complete and utter morons understand the issue because while explained and proved scientifically they deny the existence of the problem at hand. Sorry to inform you that you missed the point!
