Ahhh, yes- a derivative of the old "unexpectedly". The failure of the SWAMP- the Washington political class, the media punditry, and the Wall Street gaggle were unsuccessful in their attempts to talk the American consumer into manifesting a recession. The anti-Main Street cabal will no doubt continue to ratchet up their campaign to create a self-fulfilling prophecy of a recession. The Trump economy is NOT a QE / pushing on a string economy. It is a perpetual motion machine which is self-sustaining-- the Main Street USA business-friendly tax and regulatory environment has resulted in jobs which have driven the economic engine which then creates more jobs. The cycle can't be interrupted by sentiment-- people like their jobs, their money, and the stuff they can buy-- and they don't see any reason why it shouldn't continue. Mind you, there are systemic problems which are going to bite us at some point, but I believe that is what Trump is positioning us for. The end of the Petrodollar / fiat currency and the collapse of the central bank, the "great retirement default"-- the end of Medicare, Social Security, and the default on the public sector pensions-- the student loan, housing, and government-sector bubbles which will likely be the catalyst for the final economic collapse before the transition-- are all things we'll need to deal with. I think Trump's plan is to pump everything he can out of the failed central bank / fiat currency system before the election, and then manage the collapse like a boss after... theconservativetreehouse.com/2019/08/27/maganomics-consumer-confidence-index-beats-expectations-assessment-index-highest-in-19-years/

Yes, we do see what's going on. Whatever plan there is gets reversed and then reversed back again, then forgotten, then reanimated like a zombie, and the mounting failures get blamed on Obama and/or Hillary, who are living squarely right in the middle of the pink pudding Trump calls his brain.
You look at that swamp and believe it's the magnificent madness of a brilliant mind. We know it to be just a swamp.

He does have a plan and it seems to be running along smoothly. It's not really Trump - it's all the people behind him. It's THEIR plan. The Conservative Right have been working towards this for decades. I don't like it. It feels morally wrong to me.

The Conservative Right have been working towards this for decades. I don't like it. It feels morally wrong to me. I don't think conservatives like Trump anymore than the liberals do. Trump pees daily on the constitution, tries to strong arm business (insisting they get out of China, for instance), and is encouraging his staff to start seizing people's property in order to get his wall built (he'll pardon them if they get in trouble, he says). He has zero interest in reducing our debt or balancing our budget, and has pissed off all our allies. I've heard multiple famous conservatives say they would never vote for Trump.
I would call Trump, instead, a populist who saw an opportunity to squeak into office by running against an unpopular Dem candidate and by promoting a jingoistic, anti-immigrant, pro-white platform - and he has no real plans other than keeping his base hyped up and creating opportunity for the 1% (like him). Unfortunately, since he isn't paying attention much to what his flunkies are doing, there are a lot of far right people in his admin doing all those things that feel morally wrong to you. Like Stephen Miller, who is a minion of Satan, IMHO.

BTW, they interviewed the wrong folks to get the results they wanted to promote. Consumer confidence isn't all that good from folks I've chatted with all over the US on various chat boards.

I'm conservative right- and trust me-- we have much better plans than Trump. Trump has moved the ball very little back in the direction it needs to go, and he is going to have a great deal of trouble cementing his policies-- that is, making the kind of sweeping institutional changes needed to make sure the ball stays where he left it-- let alone keeps moving in the right direction.

Being a f***ing idiot is not dependent on political party, nor did I mention political party in that context. You're the one who stated that his ideas are bad.

Paul is going to be too busy to worry about this after Mon. or Tue. when Dorian hits Fl.
I'm hoping Mar-a-Lago gets flooded and maybe Doral will get it too?

Actually never said his ideas were bad, either- but then, you know that. You're just deliberately making shit up now. I wrote what I wrote and I did not write what I did not write. It was pretty clear. There's no need to try and interpret it, but if you wanted to then you might say that I implied Trump, as a moderate, isn't going nearly far enough on his ideas.

Glad to see such a sincere "hope" being pushed by you. You do realize there are a few million people being put in the target zone. This is not funny. How would you feel if it trends northward, you know, towards southern Georgia, where their are so many fewer people to be hurt.

I didn't say I wanted any other places to flood did I? BTW, we are preparing...we expect to get some of the residual effects...as usual when Fl. gets hit. As for the "few million people", I suggest they evac if they are told to do so. This is one of the perks of living in a hurricane prone area...just like others have some nasty perks of living in tornado prone areas or earthquake prone areas.

Where do you suggest the millions in the Miami area evacuate to? You saw the cone of probable land fall. The entire state has to move including Orlando Tampa and even maybe Jacksonville and all areas in between. Then the possibility of it crossing in the gulf, rebuilding to another hurricane status level and taking out who knows what on the gulf coast......There is only one way out. North. Only two interstates to go north. I-75 AND I-95. They will be parking lots for the few thousands that try to go north.

People are on to this grifter, and know they won't get paid, or only get pennies on the dollar. That's how Trump rolls.
