Do we really want our POTUS defending his owned resort / business having to defend his property against such charges...whether true or not and it seems there was a settlement so involving...but still...aren't there managers who are paid to be involved...Do we really need our POTUS involved in any way guys and gals....even our resident supporters of the man....Just saying. I know, no court decision but just another settlement....rape of his ex wife...case dropped....rape of a thirteen year old prostitute...numerouse times...also dropped...payout of $160,000 to a lady to keep quiet...getting old here...yes $ does mean something.. Just saying. ================================= "The Miami Herald reported in 2017 that a lawsuit between New Jersey insurance executive Eric Linder and the club had come to a tentative settlement. Linder had sued after waking up during a March 2016 stay at the resort with dozens of bites. According to the Herald, in “a terse one-page report just slipped into the court file, court-appointed mediator Frank Allocca filed a notice that reads ‘an agreement was reached." ============================== www.yahoo.com/news/trump-doral-resort-bedbugs-rumors-g7-155122372.html

Doesn't trump ever get tired of lying? It must be exhausting for him.

Emoluments Clause, Article II, Section 1, Clause 7, The President shall, at stated Times, receive for his Services, a Compensation, which shall neither be encreased nor diminished during the Period for which he shall have been elected, and he shall not receive within that Period any other Emolument from the United States, or any of them.
And for those that need it:emolument plural noun: emoluments a salary, fee, or profit from employment or office.
Need anything more be said?

Just because they don't care about the emolument clause doesn't mean that the focus here should be on bedbugs. dt's fake outrage at the reporting of these bedbugs is probably just sleigh of hand, distracting from what congress should be outraged about and put a stop to

The House of Representatives can hold trump's feet to the fire. The Republican-controlled Senate will piss on that fire. It's save trump at all costs.

Under consideration by whom, Donald? Well, you know...."people". And "they". And "I have heard" and "they say". The usual suspects.

Why not do what Obama did and hold it at Camp David?
Security would be easier, the environment a lot less chaotic than Miami, a lot more comfortable than Miami in August - and since the American public owns Camp David - way cheaper.
But Trump can't grift a profit off of having it at Camp David, can he? So Doral, which is sagging and needs an economic boost, will be it.

Let's get something straight: he already reaped a profit from this through free worl-wide advertising. We should charge his organization for this! Since I can't see how regular billing would work, I propose a fine of ~10x the value of this advertising.

I saw him whining on TV last night about how he's lost millions of dollars by being president instead of running his company - so he probably figures we owe him.
Bigly.
At least that's how the figures work out in Trump accounting, which isn't at all related to the kind of accounting real accountants use.

Back to Doral....it's a failing business, it's bleeding money...that' why he wants to use it. Think of how much more they can charge for a room there if they can advertise it was used for the G7 summit.
Just like how much more Trump can charge for his Trump wine and Trump steaks and Trump ties (made in China) when he leaves office.
His presidency is nothing more than a marketing scheme, and Trump is the product.

he never intended to win. this (his term in office) is a marketing coup for him, either way.

OR.....will he spend years in jail after being prosecuted for many crimes he committed in office? Think there might be at least a couple ready to jump on that once he is out.

Just a random thought that popped up in my mind while reading about hurricane Dorian: let's just for one moment assume that the next G-7 will take place at Doral. And then a hurricane changes path and heads straight for the Miami area (this meeting is planned to take place during the hurricane season). What is going to happen to all the people living in that area if they can't evacuate due to the large number of dignitaries and their entourage that need to be taken to safety first? Will they be SOL?
I am not including the man on the golden throne since we all know that he would run unarmed into a school while a shooter is on the rampage (he told us so himself), so I assume that like a captain on a ship he will get out last, only after every single person has been brought to safety. I don't think he would want it any other way...

I imagine with all the watches and warnings issued several days ahead for upcoming hurricanes, the foreign dignitaries and others would either move the G-7 meeting elsewhere in the country, cancel the meeting, or if actually at Doral when the watches or warnings are issued, leave several days before the storm hits the general area.

Besides you are removing cadet Bonespur's opportunity to proof his in-born heroism to all the world.
