I really enjoy a laugh first thing....is there a cure for Trump Derangement syndrome? The party of Trump needs a pill or something to take to get over President Obama and Hillary.

What bung hole did this get pulled out of? I went and checked the Media Bias/Fact Check website and Paul's CDN network rates a whopping moderately to extremely biased far right website.
mediabiasfactcheck.com/communities-digital-news/
Some of the other headlines on the CDN site right now are "Democrat Socialist Dinosaurs Hype Climate Change Debate" and "When Tragedy Strikes, Hypocritical Democrats Just Blame the President.'
It's a clever ruse, though. The name "CDN" is similar enough to "CNN" that it might lull the gullible into thinking it's a legitimate journalistic source, and it peppers in enough semi-journalistic articles about the falling Dow that it could almost pass as 'journalism.'
For some reason, they have a photo shopped picture of Hillary sitting on a toilet in a bathroom next to a small server. Didn't read the whole article, maybe part of the Deep State Plot involves her flushing her server into the toilet??
Here is the most amusing part -- the author of this screed describes himself this way: LJ Keith is a non-partisan commentator taking aim at all aspects of governmental domestic and foreign policy and the American socio-political landscape with an eye toward examining the functional realities of the modern age, how they can be understood, and what context to view the changing face of life in America and its place in the world at large.
I think 'non-partisan' must mean something totally different in the CDN parallel universe.

45 is so jealous because people still love and respect Pres Obama. His recent statement on the tragedies had complete sentences with verbs and nouns and multi-syllable words. It was full of empathy, sorrow and comfort... So unfair to the current occupant of the WH.....

we are 10 years into this, and still no indictments or convictions.
when will the right acknowledge that their hatred of Obama has nothing to do with him as a person, or his acts as a president?

arguably, Trump is "non-partisan" also. that is because neither party will openly endorse neo-fascism.

There's nothing to support such an absurd assertion-- unless you want to discuss the fact that from the "New Deal" forward, we've basically been slipping into the fascist economic model-- nothing was more fascist than the bailouts.

I can see how a Trumpette would find the rest of us lazy and uninteresting.
Trump is frenzied and offers a wide ranging panoply of tweets, from outrageous, to whining, to raging, to barely comprehensible, to flat out lying, and occasionally, presidential. It's a never ending kaleidoscopic carnival ride, and we're strapped in the seats and can't get off. I can see how any other form of politics seems like warm cottage cheese in comparison.
Michael Bennet, who is running for POTUS in 2020, said today that he would be boring. He would keep his eye on NK, fix the trade war, and voters wouldn't hear from more than every other week or two, leaving everyone free to live their lives without the daily terrifying media circus that Trump creates, both on purpose and accidentally, in his wake.
I vote for boring.

If folks are longing for Obama to be back in office, it's because Trump acts so "un"presidential. I long for the days of an adult attending international gatherings, rather than this hateful braggart who should be relegated to the child's table. I don't recall ANY president golfing an entire weekend, while there's a crisis going on. Only now is he off to visit the families of the dead & injured, because you know, our nation's interests couldn't possibly interrupt his golf...

the bailouts that got bipartisan approval under W? yeah. those were indeed neo-fascist, by the standards of Mussolini.
this is from the Independent (UK):
Is Donald Trump a fascist? The question is usually posed as an insult rather than as a serious inquiry. A common response is that “he is not as bad as Hitler”, but this rather dodges the issue. Hitler was one hideous exponent of fascism, which comes in different flavours but he was by no means the only one.
The answer is that fascist leaders and fascism in the 1920s and 1930s were similar in many respects to Trump and Trumpism. But they had additional toxic characteristics, born out of a different era and a historic experience different from the United States.
What are the most important features of fascism? They include ultra-nationalism and authoritarianism; the demonisation and persecution of minorities; a cult of the leader; a demagogic appeal to the “ignored” masses and against a “treacherous” establishment; contempt for parliamentary institutions; disregard for the law while standing on a law and order platform; control of the media and the crushing of criticism; slogans promising everything to everybody; a promotion of force as a means to an end leading to violence, militarism and war.
i have been worrying about neo-fascism in the US since i was old enough to vote, Paul. and yes, we have been slowly slipping into it for a long time. what Trump has done accelerated the trend greatly. what he is likely to do, if he gets re-elected, is far worse.
i think the Red letters fit him to a T. i know how much you like Red.

What? You tried to actually read it? OK, WTF did I just scan briefly and recognize to be a string of words that look like English but make no sense. Maybe if I tighten my tinfoil hat and make sure the paperclip belt goes fully to the ground, the words will then make sense?

Well, he had to crash that wedding being held at his Bedminster country club. Those people paid a lot of money to have their wedding there, they deserve some photo ops with the president for that price.
And some really great chocolate cake.
And it wasn't his fault those people got shot. He never told anyone to shoot the browns, he just said the browns were flooding over the border in El Paso, raping and murdering, and it was a national crisis. How could that possibly inspire anyone to drive 10 hours to El Paso to kill some browns?
So unfair.....

incidentally, what FDR was not fascism. it is socialism. FDR was the most socialist president in US history. and yes, it had an authoritarian bent to it. he muscled businesses into concessions they were very reluctant to make. during the war, he basically took over American manufacturing. he rationed goods. he packed the SCOTUS. and, notably, he suspended Habeas Corpus rights to US Citizens.
has Trump done any of these things? no. but there is nothing in his disposition that tells me he would not, given the chance. he is just not really a crafty politician. he doesn't know how to work the system. and at the early stages of fascism, that is precisely what you need to do (if you want to utterly destroy a democracy). so he doesn't worry me as much as Hitler or Mussolini. but he does worry me.
