The Democrats don't understand that Donald J. Trump is out to destroy the Democratic party- and he's using Democrats to do it. The Democrats have been using the same playbook for 50 years. When a Republican strikes a nerve, if their criticism hits just a little too close to home-- it's because they're racist or fill-in-the-blank "phobic". Whenever this happens, Republican's playbook has three defensive plays: 1. Say nothing and allow the malicious accusations to fester 2. Clumsily start back-peddling and explaining and/or 3. Apologize for the crime of telling the truth about Democrats Trump's playbook doesn't have any defensive plays because he's never not on offense and it is a beautiful thing to behold. This is just Trump gearing up his 2020 campaign.
Remember how he descended his escalator at Trump Tower in 2016 and announced he was running for POTUS so he could build a wall to keep the rapists and murderers from flooding the country - this after 8 years of Obama decreasing illegal immigration to the lowest level in 50 years?
He needed a 'brown' problem to rile up his base.
Now, right on schedule, he's been picking fights with other browns. Lewis. The SQUAD. Cummings. Now Al Sharpton. It doesn't matter if he enrages the inhabitants of Baltimore, San Francisco or other cities he's trashed in his tweets - those people were never going to vote for him anyway. It's 100% US vs THEM, and he's got his fingers crossed that there are still enough US to allow him to squeak by once more.
For the GOPers who continue to pretend this is 'just Trump being Trump' and 'not really a racist thing' - I hope you are a minority, because if Trump gets re-elected for a second term, running on his 'racial panic' platform, our country is lost. We'll be 180 degrees opposite from the land of liberty and freedom that our forefathers tried to establish, where you could be whatever religion you wanted to be, whatever ethnic group you happened to be, live the lifestyle you want to live in our great melting pot. It'll become a banana republic run by a tyrant for the benefit of a tiny group of wealthy white Christians.

He attacked a civil rights icon, FFS.
Anyone who doesn’t condemn that, has no moral compass left.

Twitter needs to shut down his account. A true president doesn't rant about everything. Did you EVER see the Obamas respond to some of the disgusting comments some folks said about them. Nope. They hung onto the dignity of the office, and didn't respond. That's part of acting "presidential". Like water running off the back of a duck. Too bad the current occupant acts like a whiny, junior high kid. (Or younger.)

Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh: Using $100,000, to send students to Washington DC to protest gun violence!
Hmmmm, maybe we should be cleaning up our own backyards before we run around the Country, telling other how bad their backyard looks.

I view him as more like the 2 or 3 year old in the grocery store when he can't have the candy bar he wants. Unfortunately even this description is a bit off the mark, because a 2 or 3 year old doesn't really know better. A 73 year old knows better. HOWEVER, what a 2 or 3 year old is doing is testing limits of mommy and daddy's discipline. The 73 year old is testing the limits of mommy (Congress) and daddy (SCOTUS). Unfortunately, some mommies and daddies get tired of the disciplinary tug of war, throw up their hands, and give in to the temper tantrums, creating a monster.

As trump has shown us all, a lot. "And I ask you this, I ask you this — crime, all of the problems — to the African Americans, who I employ so many, so many people, to the Hispanics, tremendous people: What the hell do you have to lose? Give me a chance. I'll straighten it out. I'll straighten it out. What do you have to lose?"" Donald Trump to African American and Hispanic voters: ‘What do you have to lose?’

SATIRETrump Escalates Baltimore Attacks With Rambling, 3-Hour Press Conference Tearing Into Edgar Allan PoeWASHINGTON—Criticizing the 19th-century writer as a “death-obsessed weirdo with very little literary talent,” President Trump doubled down on his attacks against the city of Baltimore Monday by tearing into Edgar Allan Poe during a rambling, three-hour press conference on the White House lawn. “This guy was a pathetic loser and boozehound who was too busy crying about his lost love to write any half-decent stories,” said Trump during an oftentimes discursive and meandering speech that mocked the “disgusting, cousin-marrying hack” for his “boring” short stories and poems. “Everyone says The Raven, okay? But a raven? Not very scary. Not scary at all. It’s just a dumb bird.... Complete article here: Trump Escalates Baltimore Attacks With Rambling, 3-Hour Press Conference Tearing Into Edgar Allan Poe

You do realize Trump is the POTUS of EVERY American city?
If Baltimore sucks, isn't it also Trump's fault? Where's the big infrastructure plan? Where's the cheap and beautiful healthcare? What exactly has he done to help ALL his fellow citizens, not just the rich white ones?
Or is Trump only responsible for the red parts of the country now?

Baltimore cannot be all that bad. House Republicans to host retreat in Baltimore amid Trump attacks: reportHouse Republicans are reportedly hosting an upcoming yearly retreat in Baltimore — a city President Trump called “very dangerous,” “disgusting” and “rodent infested” in a series of tweets attacking it and Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.). The Washington Post reported Monday that unidentified GOP sources said the House Republican Conference scheduled its September policy retreat, which the president would likely be asked to address, at a downtown Baltimore hotel. The Post reports the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront, which is located just outside of Cummings’s district, is sold out during the days of the retreat, Sept. 12 to 14, according to hotel booking sites, while other nearby facilities show availability. The event is handled in conjunction with the House GOP conference and the nonprofit Congressional Institute. House Republicans to host retreat in Baltimore amid Trump attacks: report

So someone wrote a speech for Trump to read at Jamestown, adding in a few lines about 'the barbaric trade of human lives' to try to offset all the pushback he's gotten over the last week or so in his sustained tweet attacks on black Americans.
Fancy that, an American president had to come out against slavery to try to smooth over his nasty racist remarks.
Sounds like a plot point for VEEP, but no - it's actually happening, sadly.
www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-condemns-slavery-in-jamestown-speech-amid-controversy-over-prior-incendiary-remarks/ar-AAF4YDR
Then, in a predictable addition to the plot, a Democratic Virginia delegate (a Palestinian American) who shouted at Trump to 'go back to your corrupted home' and the Virginia GOP later released a statement saying the guy was a racist anti-Semitic.
Can Trump just shut up about it - he wouldn't have to try to apologize for anything if he just stopped tweeting.

trump's dog whistle comments are not going unnoticed by the Christian leaders of Washington's national cathedral. National Cathedral leaders: Trump's racial comments 'give cover to white supremacists'(CNN)Leaders of the Washington National Cathedral slammed President Donald Trump's recent attacks on minority lawmakers and the city of Baltimore as a "dangerous" rallying cry to white supremacist violence. The statement from the Right Rev. Mariann Edgar Budde, bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington; the Very Rev. Randolph Marshall Hollerith, dean of Washington National Cathedral; and the Rev. Canon Kelly Brown Douglas, canon theologian of Washington National Cathedral, condemned Trump's tweets. "When such violent dehumanizing words come from the President of the United States, they are a clarion call, and give cover, to white supremacists who consider people of color a sub-human 'infestation' in America," the statement read. "They serve as a call to action from those people to keep America great by ridding it of such infestation," they added. "Violent words lead to violent actions." It is amazing how a reporter (loosely used term) will go out on the street ask some one a question,, suddenly it has National meaning! or at least to the reporter.

Even more amazing is how the Trump cultists can’t see he is race baiting as part of his campaign strategy and how this stink sticks to them.

Don't know about CNN but MSNBC's ratings are up 10% of last year's.
Does he think we're so stupid we don't know how to google this stuff, or too lazy we won't bother, or too brainwashed we won't question his statements?
Or does he have a MH issue where he thinks if he says something, that magically makes it happen?
