American Greatness: RIGHT BIAS These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward conservative causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage conservative causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy mediabiasfactcheck.com/american-greatness/
What's the psychological effect of constantly reading just those media sources that agree with your mind set and make you happy?
Confirmation bias?

Marlene has become, unexpectedly and suddenly, aware of a hidden America, a dangerous America, and now she is able to see in all manner of symbols (words, cars, hats, and so many more that suddenly fit her new social and moral map of America) the deplorables who are all around her: driving down the road, standing next to her in the grocery store, or fixing her plumbing. This part is especially hysterical.
Someone who has bought into the Deep State conspiracy plot to kill America alleging that poor Marlene has fallen victim to some foolish conspiracy theory about America being full of deplorables.

Lol! I've got something about AmericanGreatness, too! American Greatness is a trash organization At least the Daily Stormer is honest about its neo-Nazi intentions. American Greatness, the self-styled Trumpist journal and blog, lacks even this virtue. Today, the organization published one of the most histrionic pieces of the past year — an embarrassing head-scratcher, worthy of laughter and little else. Written by an anonymous coward, "Cuck Elegy" is an alt-right piece of literotica masquerading as a poem. Translation: Capitalism requires whoring out your women, or your country, to the "mocha-skinned" and, thus, inherently anti-American foreigner. And this is bad because neoconservatism, or tainting racial purity, or something. (Funny how it always comes down to their inability to compete for women.) www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/american-greatness-is-a-trash-organization

Why in the world would I pay heed to a site that treats Trump's presidency like the second coming of Christ? "Trust him!" Trust a pathological liar? Written by racists, for racists. Your mother must be so proud!

I remember my college English professor telling us that if I story/book/movie has one far fetched event or coincidence, it is okay, but the more of them the author needs to move the plot along, the less it is worth your time. I think of that professor every time I hear these complicated, deep state conspiracy theories.

I know that I don't qualify as reasonable nor moderate but will respond.
I don't care if there is or isn't a "deep state". There is no aspect of my existence that could be altered to significantly improve my life. If a deep state does exist, what will its demise do for me? I assume one could argue it would mean paying a little less in tax dollars. Anything else? I almost always have the option of voting for a candidate who claims to be uncontrolled by the deep state so that wouldn't change. I just don't see why to be concerned. I mean, how did President Trump get nominated, elected, inaugurated, serve as long as he has, announce a run for reelection, and face only token opposition if some powerful force is against him? If a deep state exists, just doesn't seem all that powerful to me. I certainly can't identify how I am being oppressed.

Maybe nobody can see "The deep state" because there isn't one? These people can't even balance a budget for pete's sake. The government consists of thousands of people, is the Clinton machine working over time to get rid of every single person who might blab? Wouldn't people notice large numbers of government employees going missing? Wouldn't families say something?
Or is the media in on it too keeping the truth silent which would require thousands more people to cooperate and keep their mouths shut? I am going to need to draw a chart to keep track of all this. .

Every chapter ended with a ridiculous cliff hanger. Took all the fun out of the story for me.
Come to think of it, it does focus on a lurid conspiracy theory.

I thought this one was very paternalistic. More Marlene is a dim bulb who needs to be shown the true way of things. 'Nuf said.

I hated it. I found the writing extremely poor, and I couldn't finish it.

First, Why in the hell would I be inclined to read/listen to someone who insults me? You are telling me I'm hallucinating... THAT's why I'm wrong. I thought you were a salesman. I'm sure insulting customers (to their face) is a big sales tool. I tried to "understand" your cut down quote, but alas I am too stupid to comprehend what obvious thing it is trying to elucidate. I guess I'm not the target audience.

I've worked in government.
You can't get anyone to do what they are supposed to do, let alone run some vast conspiracy.
And most people can't keep their yaps shut long enough to keep anything secret.
Furthermore, aren't all government workers lazy and too stupid to do anything else? If they are that lazy/stupid, how are they able to pull off this conspiracy?

It's an act to lull us into a false sense of security. Or they are all drugged puppets used to distract us while the real government operates in the shadows. Hence the name Shadow government. Getting concerned that I'm getting good at making this stuff up.

I think the belief that progressives are able to get hundreds or thousands of people to follow a secret plan, and keep it secret is a huge compliment. I don't have that much faith in the democratic party, but apparently Paul does.
Meanwhile, whenever the Republicans try and do anything, they seem to bungle it, like a bunch of idiots. Why did we find out there were no WMDs? How did Iran Contra get leaked? How come the GOP couldn't keep Watergate undiscovered? I say pure incompetence!
