After a man had a few too many drinks, he sent an injured baby bird to a wildlife rescue center -- in an Uber You don't exactly have to be sober to still make a difference. An animal shelter in Ogden, Utah, says its latest baby bird rescue was delivered by an Uber driver after a man, drinking responsibly, decided he didn't want to risk driving the bird to the shelter himself. Tim Crowley was day drinking with friends on a neighbor's porch on a Saturday afternoon. That's when he saw a little bird fall from the sky, CNN afiliate KSTU reported. Crowley and his friends took a picture of the bird and sent it to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center of Northern Utah. A representative from the rehabilitation center texted back, telling them to bring the bird in. It took two tries. The first Uber driver backed out, finding the request too odd. But a second one, Christy Guynn, agreed. www.cnn.com/2019/07/10/us/drunk-man-sends-uber-trnd/

Did Uber get a big tip? Or are they allowed tips?

Did Uber get a big tip? Or are they allowed tips? You can tip Uber drivers. I imagine you can tip with cash. But because the trip is paid for by credit card on-line, you can tip after your trip on-line too.

A captain befriends a sea gull and keeps the crackers coming GLOUCESTER — It happens about 90 percent of the time. Maybe even more. But it’s not 100 percent of the time, and this whole thing still seems so improbable — even after six years — that captain Heath Ellis says exactly nothing about the sea gull to his passengers for the first 71 minutes of the cruise. But Ellis definitely has his eye on the sky, at the hundreds of gulls flying around the harbor, wondering if one of them is Polly Five Toes. Ellis calls him that because he’s missing one of the three toes on his right foot. He’s a glaucous gull, and he lives in a noisy colony of gulls on Ten Pound Island in Gloucester Harbor, and he and Ellis are . . . Complete article here:It's behind a paywall. Summary-the two are good buddies. The seagull even lets the boat owner pick him up and hold him. The boat passengers are amazed by the bird trust of the captain and friendliness. There is also now a second seagull who has been visit the captain and boat. His name is Peg Leg Pete,” who is missing a leg. The bird, when visiting the boat will balance himself on a brass cleat (what ever that is on a boat). The end.
