Am I the only one that finds this commercial a little disturbing in their use of "addiction" to sell the pizza?
I am seeing this commercial in the last week or so, and I don't find a copy of it online.
Maybe someone that is savvy in finding online videos can find it for discussion?

Not familiar with that brand of frozen pizza and have not seen the commercial. Maybe it's a regional brand not available everywhere? I can't say I have tried every brand of frozen pizza in our local supermarkets, but I believe I have a nodding acquaintance with nearly all of them, so it might be something only available in certain areas or only in certain stores.

Apparently they make more than just pizza. They have a line of frozen foods. I guess they had a commercial during the superbowl that was a "dirty" food porn ad.

oh great ……. that all we need is a dirty porn food ad
I haven't heard of this particular brand of anything so it must be regional.

Just looked up Devour frozen meals. They are apparently made by Kraft Heinz, so it is possible they are in local stores and I just haven't seen them. The frozen meals look kind of interesting (especially to someone like myself who likes pretty much any food I don't have to prepare myself), so I will check them out. Still haven't seen the commercials.

I have yet to meet a frozen pizza that I liked or would buy again. I don't think I've purchased a frozen pizza in at least 5 years if not longer. I just don't get the appeal.

I haven’t tried that brand but then I seldom buy frozen pizza. I much prefer pizza from our local Italian restaurant.

The OP topic isn't really about frozen pizza. It is more about the brand using/spoofing an addiction as the premise of the commercial. I understand it is just a commercial but I do find it disturbing. I really wish I could find a video of the commercial online so others can see what I find disturbing.

And you're right- it is a creepy, weird commercial. Almost mocks people with actual addictions. Once again, I'm glad I don't have cable and don't have to watch commercials.

It's a stupid commercial for the reasons already mentioned, but also because it doesn't really tell us anything about the food.
On the topic of frozen pizza: This is one of those experiences where life's marginal people such as myself have an advantage over better people who have very high standards (and good social skills and are attractive and popular and whatever). We can enjoy organic, free range pizza from the Local Artisan Unicorn Pizza Joint (assuming they'll actually serve the plebian likes of us), but we can also see a frozen pizza and say "Oh, look, pizza! Yay!" And then we can eat the pizza and enjoy the fact that we are eating pizza and not care that it wasn't made by someone with an uncertain temper or any Italian ancestors (real or imagined). Except Domino's. That stuff is awful. No one should eat that.

For those of us who don't feel obligated to turn our noses up at anything without an "artisanal" label, many frozen pizzas are just fine. But it's okay if others don't like it. We won't judge or shun anyone for not liking something we find perfectly acceptable, because we really understand it's probably just a form of anxiety or a fear of appearing "common." We may be common as dirt, but we're not stupid, and we're practical. We'll just say, "Yay! More pizza for us!" ("More pizza" is a good thing in our marginal world. We like pizza. Except Domino's. We won't eat that.) There are several types of frozen pizza that I find quite tasty, and I really don't care what anyone else thinks of that. I really like the local supermarket's store-brand white pizza with lots of spinach and big chunks of garlic. Great. Now I want spinach and garlic pizza.

Give me some chicken nuggets and fries from McDonald's, and I'm a happy camper.

Amy’s brand has a margherita pizza that is yummy. I don’t like frozen pizza at all, but this one is good. That said, I do wish my store sold the personal size. Leftover frozen pizza, no matter how good the brand is, is just yucky.

Against the Grain and Smart Flour make perfectly acceptable gluten free pizzas that serve in a pinch. They aren’t Wild Tomato’s Spicy Sausage (place about an hour away I hit if I’m nearby sometime) but I’m not making gluten free dough, so...

I would even be happy to eat at the Olive Garden or Applebee's or any of the restaurants that cultured people look down on - unfortunately they are not very convenient to my house.

Schar has a GF crust that's pretty decent (two in the package). Papa Murphy's (who's pizza I normally hate) makes a decent GF pizza. Otherwise most of the frozen GF pizza options are pretty blah.

Although we do prefer to find mom and pop places rather than chains wherever I can. I find Olive Garden waaaaaay too salty in almost everything they have.

Schar isn't my favorite either but in a pinch it's fine. Locally that's pretty much the only brand that I can get. I make the hour trek to the Twin Cities metro once a month to hit up Whole Foods and Trader Joes for my GF food. But locally the grocery stores here only really carry Schar.

I've never eaten at Olive Garden or Applebee's, but that's because they don't exist up here, not because I look down on them. I'd gladly try them out. Is Red Lobster also a restaurant "cultured people look down on"? I always enjoyed eating there, but that doesn't exist here, either. There's one in Ottawa, but that's over 200 kms away.
