Nope.
Week long camp of 117 high school students and 29 staff.
25 of them have some sort of need for special dietary attention.
Should be a fun week.
Not.

Gonna suck when someone has an allergic reaction and/or gets sick. (My BFF has alot of allergies and dietary requirements along with a bunch of health issues. Back in HS and college, before any outings, we'd always go over the "dos and don'ts" and have a review of her medications and where they were kept so that one of us close friends would be keeping an eye out/offer assistance/get help in case of an emergency. It was WAY better to prevent or catch quickly if something started going wrong. If my BFF does have a reaction sometimes it happens fast - and she might not be able to talk...hence the pre-event review so we were all on the same page and would know what to do. ) You are going with teens and adults. I would think they are at least partially responsible for knowing what/choosing what they will be eating and will be prepared accordingly. As a Flexitarian, I'd prefer to not eat critter (it's alittle ethical/ alittle laziness cooking wise/ alittle saving money) I'll be just fine if I eat critter. So, if someone is going to feed me - and it happens to be critter, I will dine on critter. If you are coming to my house to eat (outside of Thanksgiving and Christmas) - do not expect critter on the menu. So, maybe you will have some people who are willing to make an exception to their usual eating habits if it won't kill them or make them sick.

Gonna suck when someone has an allergic reaction and/or gets sick. ... Our kitchen will be responsible for making sure that an option is available for each person so that this not happen. That is what makes it so fun. Prepare one meal for a 100 plus group plus also prepare a number of specialty meals for individuals and have it all ready to go out at the same time.

We get hit with this all the time where I volunteer. On the other hand, Would it be boring if everything was the same? (Why did this seldom come up when I was young and we all had to drink "raw" milk? For that matter we used to be able to eat raw eggs too......and nobody that I knew ever died eating potato salad or fried chicken that was left out in the sun on the ole picnick table all afternoon? ) These allergies had to exist back in the 50's too not?

I could use your excellent attention to detail at the roller rink. We had 247 third graders yesterday. Feed, entertain them while skating, try to minimize the injuries. Having a microphone hooked up to 5200 watts of amplification helps. Even though I do everything there, I mostly volunteer as the DJ, I'm the floor boss, big fun. Wouldn't trade the activity for anything.
