Trump has decided he doesn't give two shits about the rule of law anymore, as he gears up for his re-election and congress is not attempting to hold him accountable.
- A federal agency recommended Trump fire Kellyanne Conway for repeated violations of the Hatch act - the rule saying executive branch employees can't engage in political activities, which she violates constantly in her disparaging remarks about the participants in the democratic primary. Trump ignored the report and refuses to fire Conway.
- Trump has instructed everyone at the WH to ignore subpoenas to testify before Congress.
- Trump used executive privilege to avoid releasing documents that would explain the administration's decision to include a citizenship question in the 2020 census.

So is Trump really untouchable?

He's old, he's white, he's a man, he's rich. OF COURSE he's untouchable. If they touch him that means all their little empires will come under threat too.
If this was Obama or Hillary they would have been executed for crimes against the state if we are going by what a certain poster has said in the past.

He is pushing the power of the presidency, and it seems he will continue to do so. Is he untouchable? No. Congress can stop him cold. Of course they won't, with his patsy Republicans in the Senate. The courts can stop him cold, but it is a long process, and not practical in the short term- that is Congress's responsibility. Finally, the voters, We the People, have the say in 2020. Hopefully this all ends well, and also shows us once again the danger of the "Imperial Presidency". yes. if this goes REALLY well, this will serve as a lesson in what NOT to do.
if it goes REALLY badly, it will simply embolden more right wing populists.

The Imperial Presidency has become stronger under all recent presidents. It is a general trend that Congress needs to stop and reverse.

Congress only seems to want to do it when the president is from the opposite party.
There are constitutional guidelines that should be enforced, regardless of party.
