Do I sit with my arms crossed at meetings because I am a closed off person, or am I a closed off person because I cross my arms?
Does our body language perpetuate our mood?
Do you do anything consistently that you feel does not convey how you really feel?
Does anyone in your life give body language that intrigues you or repels you?

I'm usually sitting in a meeting with my arms crossed because the room is cold as hell.

My eyes roll involuntarily.
I also often sit with my arms crossed. It's usually because my back hurts so I'm leaning back and that's the easiest place to keep my arms.

I'm usually sitting in a meeting with my arms crossed because the room is cold as hell. I remember reading about a child who always colored in black at school and the team meetings required to discuss potential issues and when they finally asked the kid he basically said that they shared a set of crayons and he always got there last...

I often cross my arms because it’s more comfortable, but I think about the belief that it makes you appear more aggressive and less open to ideas. It’s the sudden outbursts of profanity that tends to annoy people, they almost never say anything about my arms 🙂

Back in the '60s, the junior high school I attended had an indoor pool. Some male students who didn't like to swim started forgetting to bring their bathing suit to gym class to get out of swimming. So the school stated all the male students would now swim nude and fixed the problem of no suits.
One time while waiting to use the diving board (I was a good swimmer and diver), I had my hands folded together and resting on my stomach. The gym teacher asked me if my stomach hurt. I replied "No. I am resting my hands on my stomach because I have no pockets to stick my hands in while waiting to dive."
So much for body language.

There is too much to body language reading to generalize everyone. Police/detectives/interviewers are trained to read people. Body language can be cultural.
The one's that do stand out to me are 1. If someone is not truthful, they will roll their hand to show the wrist. 2. If someone does not like what you are saying or want to leave, they will turn to the left. Or cut their eyes to the side. This goes out the window with pathological liars. 3. A step back means the other person is too close. 4. Hands in the pockets can mean hiding something. 5. Clinched fist is anger. (No not the one flying at your face. That's pure hate!) 6. A person ready to defend self square their shoulders with strong eyes. 7. Someone turns their back on you, it means exactly that.
