So Barr has been given unilateral authority to declassify whatever he picks and chooses regardless of whether others say it is against national interests to do so... he wants to know who from the CIA was working in Russia... bet there is no chance Russia will be given that information... bet Barr will be fair and balanced in the snippets he declassifies... big fucking not. And how does this happen simultaneously with a well developed and executed plan to keep Russia from interfering going forward... guess what... it doesn't.
And Assange is piece of crap but charging him under the Espionage Acts is extremely troubling. No one likes him so they think they can set precedent around him and then go after any journalist who prints things they don't like... it would be the end of the free press.

I'm struggling with Asssnge. I don't think I understand the situation totally. Did he obtain the information by illegally breaking into government and political computer systems? Cause that seems illegal. If you declare yourself a journalist, can you just break any laws in the name of getting the data?

Assange got the data from Chelsea Manning Manning: Additional Assange charges are feds using the law 'as a sword'
