Most of those "everyone" don't publicly lie to 327 million Americans multiple times per day. There is a literally unlimited ways to add conditions to the statement "everyone lies", but not one way to disprove it. Everyone lies. What I think the issue is, is that Trump lies like everyone else, and his followers derive humor from the opposition meltdown. They opposition thinks they have the political high ground on this, they don't.

Everyone lies. Even those who claim that I change their posts, when only a mod can do that. People even lie to themselves, as it's impossible to accept all possibility, and remain sane.

We laugh at the effectiveness of his ability to bait the left. When he says some of the stuff he says, the liberal media shouldn't cut to the next seen before he gives that little wink/smile to the audience.

""Phil....not lies, just phrases..? You have kids, grand lids.....? When they tell a lie your response is a chuckle and a ..? Come on already...I am guessing u never served the country...if so u understand....one does not lie...just not done...it's a sign of a weak coward.""
Yes, kids and grandkids. And yes, Army 1957. And no, I don't lie - and I don't tolerate it from my kids/grandkids.
The extra $2.00 total os similar.. per bushel...think $12 billion total......just more debt added with interest on to pay...I see a bribe for their vote...your ok with that ...you consider that progress...? The US raises about 4.5 B bushel of soybeans per years, so a $2 subsidy costs about $9B. Yes, I'm OK with that - the acreage under cultivation in the US has remained roughly the same for over 100 years - but the number of farmers has dropped drastically (one farmer farmed 40 acres a century ago, now one farmer can farm over 500 acre). In 1960 a farmer fed about 25 people, now a farmer feeds about 150 people. Technology did that - w/o that massive productivity increase we would not be able to feed the current US population. So it is a good idea to protect that industry - a single bad year (aka a Black Swan, 2019 is a Corn Black Swan yr) can put many young farmers out of business. The US has been preventing the 'single event farm failure" since Roosevelt. In a country that has an income of $1B per hour, I'm OK with spending $9B to save our food industry.

10,000+ times in 2 years?
No, no they don't. Unless they are a pathological liar.
Everyone lies. No they don't. I rarely tell a lie. My Mom, My Dad, My Grandparents - as honest as the day is long. But what baffles me is their Honesty is largely founded in their Faith...but people of Faith seem to be supporting the liar in Chief to the ends of the earth.
I think of him as the Anti-Christ.

""he is the lyingest liar that ever lied a lie.""
"When name-calling is used instead of an argument, name-calling is thus a substitute for rational, fact-based arguments against an idea or belief, based upon its own merits, and becomes an argumentum ad hominem." Making this board a playground of logical fallacy. For me it's somewhat depressing, that most those who can see it, are gone. The roll call is long.

Yes they do, even you, as you just said " I rarely tell a lie". Everyone lies. Even those who rarely do it. I think another issue with Trump is that he's so ordinary, and he beat the self proclaimed wizards of smart, on a level playing field. They are besides themselves in not understanding how such a travesty can happen. I see it as they are just lying to themselves, and can't accept they are no smarter than anyone else.

There is a huge difference between rarely tells a lie, and lies all the time, even when you know you will be caught. Our society is going to get more and more dishonest, b/c if it is OK for the President to be dishonest, it is OK for the rest of us too.

uhh no not $9 Billion....seems to be $16 Billion this year, believed he authorized $12 B last year...after a while these Billions start becoming real important $. Just saying.... www.cnbc.com/2019/05/23/trump-to-give-16-billion-to-farmers-hurt-by-trade-war-sonny-perdue.html

I was thinking about this just a minute ago. why do his lies not matter to the GOP? it is not like they are being spared.Because it furthers the overall plan? That's why Trump does the things he does (being himself) and the GOP looks the other way. Trump isn't a force - he's a farce. Trump is the distraction with the ability to give things an OK when necessary or who will simply look the other way or who will simply not do anything to impede a plan. I don't think anyone thinks Trump is actually in charge. There are always casualties in any battle. So, yeah, the GOP is taking some hits - but they are getting what they want done.

But makes absolutely no difference to my statement of "Everyone Lies". A statement which makes no considerations of "OK" or "the President" or "society", or "more dishonest". Those are levels and standards opined by you, and are quite subjective. Everyone lies.

nobody lies to the degree Trump does.
nobody.
he is the lyingest liar that ever lied a lie.
so, again, why are you so accepting and forgiving?
Never said I was, that's dez's premise. You seem perturbed that Trump lies. Does it distract you at all ? distract? no.
I find it profoundly embarrassing.
hopefully I won't need to explain that, but I am guessing I will.

Humm everyone lies and it's no big deal then what was all the screaming about Hillary over? Can't be crooked if everyone is doing it. Oh wait she's a woman. Only rich white men can lie thru their teeth daily and we're supposed to shrug it off. That's because we're the empowered ones, and have been for decades. You have no choice but to shrug it off. No screaming from me over crooked hillary. I was laughing because she wasn't even smart enough to beat that lying dummy on a level playing field. All the sore losing voters that keep it going, are good for a chuckle at times also. Glad the way Trump is wiping his ass on the constitution while this country unravels around him is such a source of amusement to you.
I wonder when the shoe is on the other foot and it's a snot nosed DEM POTUS insisting no one is the boss of him if you'll be quite as chipper.
Who knows, you might be like another poster we had here who claimed he wanted to burn the government down - I'm sure the current POTUS is just as amusing to them, too.

""So you too are fine with his pathological lying?""
Yes, I'm fine with the Dems version of his pathological lying. Actually, it's kinda cute that there are rooms full of Dems scoring and counting 'lies' - "do our fact finders give it a full lie? Or a partially true?" It seems really silly to us Repubs - we get it that you lost the election and that you hate it - but scoring lies? C'mon. To us (repubs) they are not lies, they are merely phrases that the Dems have twisted in a way that they can score as lies. BTW, I see that Trump is planning to give farmers an extra $2 per bushel on the 2019 soybean crop to offset the recent tariff flap - seems like he is making prgress on his plans to level the trade deficit issues, something that has been sorely needed for decades.
so, now American consumers are paying for the tariff TWICE? at the store and on their taxes?
jesus, man. this guy really knows how to spend without thinking for a second about earning money.

Reminds me of the kids who would stand in the background and jeer when the bully pushed the skinny kid around in HS.
Didn't like it then, don't like it now.
Can't wait until the bully turns on them (as bullies always do) and things really go to shit for them.

Everyone lies.Who are you arguing with? No one on this thread has claimed there are people who don't lie. They are saying they don't want the president to lie, continually, in public, on TV and tweets, and we don't understand how the Trumpettes just laugh that chronic lying off.
Everyone shits, too, but who wants to see the POTUS shit on national TV, in the oval office, on the famous oval office desk, while he proclaims himself the best shitter ever, really, the finest kind of shit there is?
