by 2023..There is exception forv 90 days for youths aged 16 to 17...Thus summer employment for these kids would be covered...There is the danger that small businesses, Mom and Pop type might be hurt...I can remember way back in the day when the min wage was .50 per hour and it was raised to .75 and my dad who owned a variety store could not afford the increase...had to let Jimmy, after school and weekends boy go... Family business u play together, work together.. ================== www.courant.com/politics/hc-pol-minimum-wage-house-20190509-djpw2nwwxva6tihllxukcepwam-story.html

AZ minimum wage is $11, A McDonald's Quarter pounder with cheese, is slightly less than $9 When MW was $7.25, the same was less than $6. Now adjusted to MW inflation,, the people making MW have no more spending money than the did at $7.25. So, when we hit $15,, that same quarter pounder will be,, $14?? Then we will need to raise MW to $20 so people will have spending money!

Good point. Goes to show you can't create wealth from redistribution. It can help you win an election, getting votes from certain demographics.

this things are unrelated.
there is about a 5:1 sensitivity in MW increases -vs- price increases.
in other words, if MW goes up 50%, prices rise 10%.
it is probably related to beef prices, or something else.
oh, and yes, I can back that up.
the Heritage Foundation studied this, and has a nice report that spells it all out.
