It will be interesting to see how it unfolds. I question the guy's mental state. His term of military service, less than two years, and separation in the same month as his return from a five month deployment raises a red flag to me.

"Domingo served as an infantryman in the Army from November 2011 to February 2013, attaining the rank of private," said Lt. Col. Emanuel Ortizcruz, an Army spokesman. "He deployed to Afghanistan from September 2012 to February 2013."
I don't know much about military life, but if you're in the military for over a year, and have a deployment, shouldn't you get some kind of promotion from just private?

So, an American who admired jihad and who wanted to take out a bunch of white nationalists in retribution for New Zealand.
Who was it that said if we practice and eye for an eye, everyone will be blind?
Glad they got the guy before he did any damage (even if his intended targets were white nationalists - no one deserves to blow up, except the terrorists who accidentally blow themselves up trying to make the bomb).

The article suggests he was not clearly focused on one specific target. Free floating anger is scary.

Another homegrown terrorist. Can't blame the immigrants for this guy. Sounds like another man who needs some serious psychiatric help. I'm going to guess the VA couldn't schedule him in for months...

A photo in the article has him as a Pfc (Private First Class) or E3. The spokesperson said he was a Private or E1. That clearly indicates disciplinary action to me.

No, we don't walk away. But when we're holding on to something precious, we run.

Apparently the white nationalists didn't show up for the parade/meeting. But the peace activists did. I think that was bbc.com I'll try to find a link. A far-right group had planned to march on Sunday at Bluff Park in Long Beach, though they did not show up. Anti-racism counter-demonstrators did, however, attend.
