I’d rather win a smaller prize that goes under the radar if I have to be declared publicly. In IL I know there was a case where someone claimed as an LLC and they got to remain anonymous with a lawyers name as the contact.

Yeah, I'd want to be anonymous too. I just read an article (can't find it) about having the winner's name declared publicly. I think it must of been a sketchy kind of article because it was weirdly assumed that being 'anonymous' meant you didn't have to declare who you were to the government.... even though it went over how a big winner might not want their name in the paper because of all the people who would come around asking for hand outs.
That's the biggest reason I would want to be anonymous publicly - I'd like to limit the number of people and organizations (and Nigerian Princes) turning up on my doorstep looking for a handout.
