Anything to back up your belief about lawsuits, immigrants, and lung disease in sanctuary cities? And why do you Capitalize the 's' in sanctuary?

I've heard the saying, how California goes, so does the rest of the country. Let's hope we all don't end up breathing air like they have in LA. For some reason I had thought LA cleaned up their act. I guess not.

And yet when Trump said he was shipping them to snctuary cities it was racism! You cannot have it both ways. Liberals are commiting genocide of the brown people in California.

I guess not. I believe they have made strides but the population keeps increasing and the air currents trap the pollution into the city areas due to the mountain range to the east.

why is that amazing?
the reason we have tough pollution laws is because we have tough pollution problems.

The reason that L.A region has air pollution is because of Climate change and wild fires? L.A. has air pollution for ever. Annnnd it is not like Cali has never had forest fires,,, like forever! Not since Climate Change how ever!! In 1977, I lived in Broomfield Colorado, ( Hi Moonbeam) I thought we had smog in Colorado at that time,
Took a trip to Cali for a wedding spent a couple of days there ,, Went to Disneyland,
There I learned what smog looked like,, The Sun was an orange ball in the sky,, you did not need any eye protection at all to look at it,, if the hills were two miles away,, you might be able to see them! But now that the smog is much better (from my trip thru Cali last Summer) Traffic is much worse though,
So the smog is caused by Climate Change,,, Sure!

This kind of pollution is why I support many environmental measures. I don't need scientific studies to show me the effects of pollution in many big cities. I also live in a city that has spent the last 50 years trying to clean up the mess made by the mining companies in the area. There are lots of good reasons to cut down on carbon emissions.

In 1977 we were only getting started with pollution controls so to speak,,
I understand your point, I don't think what you were referring to were any where back that far. There was some idiot that said back in the early eighties,, that the exhaust coming out of the tail pipe on the new cars was cleaner than what was going into the carburetor, I said well hell, there is you solution,, every one go out start your cars,, clean up the air!

So someone who takes a trip to a place from time to time and makes some observations has better information than scientists or the people who live it every day? Well, alrighty then.

There good days, there are bad days. With all the melting ice these days, is the ocean up to Riverside yet?? Maybe I need to check with my friend who lives in Lake Arrowhead to see if if is lapping at his doorstep.

why is that amazing?
the reason we have tough pollution laws is because we have tough pollution problems.
and then there is the little matter of the current administration actively working against CA in its efforts to reduce air pollution:
"WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. federal officials have decided to end negotiations with California over the Trump administration’s plans to roll back fuel economy rules designed to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, a government official said on Wednesday...."
www.reuters.com/article/us-autos-emissions-california/trump-california-rift-widens-as-auto-emissions-talks-fail-idUSKCN1Q9273
We should get federal grants (large ones) to try offset the effects of this ruling!

If you're not polluting, you're not polluting ! Not because it blows away to someone else's living area. So much for setting that standard.

Seems to me if one is aware of a high-speed rail "thing" in California, they should be able to find the update on their own to answer their own question. Or so it seems to me.
