Amazing how that inflames you... but trump and Kushner selling weapons and military information to the country that actually perpetrated the attack’s is a-ok. Which "country" perpetrated the attack ?

Those nineteen weren’t American citizens. They were citizens of a country whith which we maintained cordial relations while invading two that had nothing to do with 9/11. But that doesn’t count! Neither is the over 500000 that we killed after that. The 3000 are important because they were Americans. All others are from some shithole country. You really should get some background on the whole story.

Omar's statement is not only factually correct, people making Islam and its followers all complcit by association (like you seem to have no problem doing) are shall we say somewhat mathematically challenged. So I'll lay it out for you: There were 17 hijackers on the planes that were forced down. Now we all know that secrets are hard to keep but I will be generous and say they were only 10% of the people involved in this crime → so ~170 people were directly involved in planning and perpetrating this crime. As of 2015 there were ~1.4 Billion muslims in the world. Again I'll be generous and say that that number had doubled since 2001. So at the time of the attacks there were ~700M followers.
This means that approximatedly 0.000024% of the world's muslim population was involved in these attacks. And you find the some people did something weird/offensive? Yes ~ 3,000 people died on that day and that is 3,000 too many. That is 3,000 familes mourning the loss of their lost ones. However, our incessant blaming of an entire religion and its followers for something that was done by such a tiny sliver of the followers of that religion is at least as offensive and ultimately far more dangerous to world peace.

I stopped at the bolded. You'll have to show me where I did that, thanks. I should be able to clarify, I don't remember saying anything like that. Edit; As an aside, I don't ever recall blaming a group, for actions of a few criminals, for anything. For one thing, it would really 'shoot' my gun control stance all to hell.

Seriously, it would be funny if it wasn’t so sad and solikelyto killthe republic. I was just wondering if you could tell me what country perpetrated the attack. A government. Or were you just talking off the cuff, in regards to where they came from. I've done it by mistake, when posting quickly.

The Complete blame goes to Osama bin Laden, If he had not attacked America, with the planes crashing into the World Trade Center,
We would have not invaded those two Countries! Place the blame directly where it belongs. Or we can again trivialize the attack on the World trade Center , with Some people Did Something,,,
or means nothing now that it happened so long ago.
Well then we should’ve invaded Saudi Arabia not Iraq or Afghanistan. So where was the blame placed?

Or maybe there is some other story that we should be aware of. Maybe one that just glorifies us for doing wrong and demonizes others for trying to speak the truth? For the upteenth time, loss of life as a result of someone idiocy or stupidity is equally wrong. 9/11 was a despicable act, cowardly and inexplicable to the sane but we should not pretend for not even a second thta we are better because we did worse. They did it for what they thought is revenge, we did it out of greed so yeah, other people did things too or whatever Omar said.

Salam alaikum my fellow posters. It's been a really hard week for the Muslim community,,,,,fighting for justice, for equality, for the right for us to equally exist in this country.
Why has it been a hard week? Who has taken her right to equally exist in this Country? Many people expect our community to feel like it needs to hide every time something happens.
What happened? because we know we have a right to a dignified existence and a dignified life.
OK , so who has taken this away from them? people like myself and many of the people in this room can care less about what they have to say
Then why is every one so defensive,,,, if you don't care? So we are coming off a tragic, tragic nightmare that has happened to Muslims in New Zealand. Many of us know that this is not a one-off incident. Many of us were not shocked or surprised. Many of us were kind of holding our breath for a really long time thinking when will something like this happen. Because many of us have experienced threats in our mosques, in our schools, even for our individual leaders. Many of us have witnessed bombings of mosques. Many of us have seen mosques set on fire. Many people, a few years ago, watched in horror as gunmen showed up to Irving, Texas, at a mosque, threatening Muslims
If you are black, you stand a much greater chance of being shot or beaten by a cop! we finally have a leader, a world leader, in the White House, who publicly says Islam hates us, who fuels hate against Muslims,
How many Muslim Countries have threaten to kill every American?? Iran certainly comes to mind! the consequences that his your words might have.
I don't need to add to that. threaten our lives, to diminish our presence.
Says a woman Congress person,, that is a pretty powerful presents,,, Poor baby is being picked on! And we knew that others within our communities will also show up. Because that is how it works. Once you are willing to stand up for yourself, once you recognize what your rights are, what you should be entitled to, then others will show up for you.
Again, who is taking her Right? Muslims for a really long time in this country have been told that there is a privilege that we are given and that it might be taken away.
Again, who is taking her Rights?
But no matter how much we have tried to be the best neighbor, people have always worked on finding a way to not allow for every single civil liberty to be extended to us.
Again, who is doing this? Wait your not looking for more free stuff?? You can buy that beautiful house. But none of that stuff matters if you one day show up to the hospital, and your wife, or maybe yourself, is having a baby and you can't have the access that you need because someone doesn’t recognize you as fully human.
HUH?? "So to me, I say, raise hell, make people uncomfortable. Because here's the truth: For too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen, and, frankly, I'm tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it.
Yea, what the hell, as you said earlier you don't care what others think. "CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties. (Editor's note: CAIR was actually founded in 1994.)
Not to mention that almost three thousand people lost their lives,,, Cause Some People Did Something They were starting to lose access to their Civil Liberties. Now that we have trivialized the people killed at the World Trade Center,, Again, who is taking away her Civil Liberties?? I'm hoping Muslims who were elected around the country would just do this. I tweet out verses of the Koran. I say salam alaikum (peace), and alhamdulillah (praise be God) and I'll tweet back at people astaghfirullah (sorry)
Maybe you should try Hello,,,
"And so I am again very grateful to have the opportunity to be in a room like this, with all of you. As an elected Muslim in Congress I feel the weight of responsibility that I have, to not live up to the name of being a Muslim but live up to the ideals of what it means to be a Muslim.
Amazing enough, is,,, We have people on this board the constantly condemn the Religious Right, but are really defending what appears to be some one pushing the Muslim Religion.

Why has it been a hard week? Who has taken her right to equally exist in this Country? The speech was days after a white nationalist gunman killed 50 persons in two New Zealand mosques. I'd guess that had something to do with the "really hard week for the Muslim community." Is the rest of your analysis equally lacking? Right, there was none. Never mind. I withdraw the question.

Hey, since she is being so picked on every where, some one, some where, is taking her rights ,, being a second class Black Democratic Muslim, Congresswoman,,,,, Maybe she could try the Jesse Smollett trick to get more respect. You will need to get some really cool sun glasses though.
Hmmmm, being elected to serve in Congress,,,, then try to convince the country that you are treated as a second class citizen??

Is the correct answer 'something like' true/false ? It's not "cowardly and inexplicable to the sane". It's guerrilla warfare. Has nothing to do with better or worse. Bin Laden paid with his life. You should check deeper into Iraq, not there yet. Developing nuclear capability was just one reason.

Doesn't work well when you're one of the elite in congress She needs to be working on programs, to elicit votes from all the generational handout users on the dole. I think they're all named 'Julie' or something like that. The only way she'll keep that position.

Conspiracy theory much about Iraq? If you look closer you’ll find that they are also hiding crazy amounts of sand in that country and that could be dangerous if it blows in the wrong direction. Developing nuclear capabilities you say. Who gave us the right to have nuclear capabilities? Who took away the right from other countries to develop the same? Us attacking a country can be justified by suspicion but others retaliating to us for wrongdoing is unjustifiable. Got it! Osama was neither in Iraq or Afghanistan so why did we invade the two again!

Now Outraged, Trump Boasted On 9/11 That His Building Was Tallest After AttackAppallingly insensitive — and false, Democratic strategist Paul Begala recalls after the president tries to bash Rep. Ilhan Omar using images of the terrorist strike. President Donald Trump is expressing outrage now about 9/11 through a controversial attempt to use the tragedy to slam Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), but his grief wasn’t quite so obvious right after the terrorist attacks. At the time, Trump gloated that his building at 40 Wall St. had become the tallest in New York City with the collapse of the World Trade Center towers. Not only was the statement appallingly insensitive, but it was also a lie, former Democratic political strategist and CNN political contributor Paul Begala told Chris Cuomo on Friday. “This guy has no moral standing ever to try to use our greatest day of national pain for his political gain,” Begala said. “Before the bodies had been cleared or identified, before the wounded had been treated, [Trump] went on television ... and he said: ‘Well, my building at 40 Wall Street is now the tallest building in America,’” Begala recalled. “He bragged about it; it wasn’t true. And it was appallingly bad taste.” (Hear Begala’s comments at 3:12 in the video above.) Now Outraged, Trump Boasted On 9/11 That His Building Was Tallest After Attack I am sure his supporters , say those her, would just excuse the man, just Donald being Donald as a example....as have said a few times...the man is evil.

Let me ask you this....if you both woke up tomorrow as a black muslim woman, would you be okay with that? Do you think you would be treated the same then as you are now? If this were to happen to you and think it would make your life harder....well then equality doesn't fully exist, does it?
I know if I woke up tomorrow as a white man, it would change a lot of things in my life for the better.

Like what, The is one,, Simply cause you are a White man,, You are a racist! As a white man you are trying to get into a top school,, only to find that minorities , are given a boost ahead of you. If you are a man being accused of ANY sexual moves,, guilty or not YOU ARE GUILTY, if you both woke up tomorrow as a black muslim woman,
If I woke up tomorrow as a Black Muslim Woman, Congresswoman,,, I would be second place to nothing!!
If you want to find a woman that was not treated well,, what if you woke up tomorrow and found yourself as Justine Damond!!!

I don't worry about that kind of total nonsense. I'll wake up tomorrow, the same person I am today. Not a racist.

"I say hands off," Tlaib said. "Hands off of the women of color that serve in the United States Congress. Not only do we look differently but we serve and we fight differently. But it also means that we talk differently. It's also that we are allowed to be angry in this country."
We are collectively saying your vile attacks, your demented views are not welcome here," the Minnesota Democrat said Tuesday at a rally outside the US Capitol. "This is not going to be the country of the xenophobics. This is not going to be the country of the white people.
Here is a little reminder of ,,, Why I am allowed to be angry!!
Some people did something
