This was a great tax year for me. I and many of my fellow middle class citizens who also had a great tax year say, "Thank you Trump!!"

My Mom called me last weekend all upset b/c she said she owed $500 in taxes. She did some more work and called me on Monday and said she now figures she owes over $1,000.
Mom's only income is SS and a Pension. She brings in about $40,000 to my understanding.
I got sidetracked into appealing my assessment. I have Friday and Monday off to try to deal with my Taxes/my kids taxes/my in-laws taxes -- and now apparently I have to make time to look at my Mom's too.
GRR.
I think we did ok, I am concerned about MIL's. Son's is kind of done, but then I read that there is a tax credit for Student Loan Interest, so I have to look at that.
DD's I have not done yet. I have to review with her & see if I have all her W-2's and her Tuition statement for the Higher Ed tax credit.

Then the agency needs to implement negative withholding for those of us eligible for refundable credits.

nope. I am saying that Trump promised me lower taxes, and he has failed to deliver on that promise.

Still have legal residence in Indiana, so paying state income taxes. I thought this was a discussion on federal taxes and with holding. Anyway, my effective tax rate was just fine, imo. Wife and I were concerned our tax burden would climb, but Trump told America people like us would be ok, and we were. We were clipped on the property tax payments, but only by $750, so not the end of the world..... Of course, we do not have three or more businesses to deal with like you, and taxes are not too hard to do for us.....
