January numbers were revised upward, and the latest number is still very good. www.msn.com/en-us/money/markets/hiring-rebounds-as-employers-add-a-solid-196000-jobs/ar-BBVDI54Stay invested in strong domestic companies as well as a S&P 500 fund for at least the rest of the year. December might be a wonky month for stocks depending on political bickering and whether Trump might look to be vulnerable in the fall election. Traders will use December as a month to stage their strategy for 2020 investments based on political leanings of America and which way the wind is blowing.

The economy was great under Obama. trump was lucky to inherit the trend. So no need to talk about it.

At least with Trump, minorities are now riding in the boat at high tide. Under Obama, it was pretty much a white crowd on the boat.

I don't know. My Son and his GF are looking for a house, imho housing in our area is pretty unaffordable. There seems to be sentiment that things will be slowing down by the time of the election. I am about 10-11 years from retirement - I would love to sail into retirement with a strong economic trend, but they keep telling us we are due for a recession.
Imho, that could be why trump wants to appoint people to the fed that will keep interest rates low - juice the economy right before his election, it will be his second term anyways, so if it crashes, he won't care.

We are wanting to sell our house in Indiana this year, and we think we know the value of the house. We want to downsize to something smaller and no acreage, maybe 1,500 sq feet or less, three bedrooms and at least a bath and a half. Watching several real estate sites, and the fact is the smaller homes are worth almost as much as the larger homes these days. Not sure if we can do it, or is worth while if it is just pretty much a sideways move dollar wise. Our current house is in a good neighborhood, but homes sitting on a couple of acres is not what people want any more. When we bought our first house, it was $53,000 and my parents said we were crazy spending that much money. It all worked out in the end. I do agree current housing prices are out of reach of most first time buyers unless you are near a deteriating inner city neighborhood.

I asked you this once before when you were crowing about jobs, but you didn't answer. Yes, there are more jobs, but are these full-time jobs or part time? Are they minimum wage? Can people survive on these jobs?

He makes his followers sound very ignorant.

Why are we relying on what Wall street thinks about politics?
Why not also check with the Kardashians and the Fighting Wolverines marching band?
