Now why did you think I was talking about you ? I didn't take it personally. I was agreeing it was a problem by indicating I work to do my part in it not being done. You working to do these things, doesn't seem to agree with the tag line under your avatar. Along with threads started, to point out Trumps tweets.

... Do you think Trumps tweets are policy decisions ? Or is he just putting possibilities out into the twitter verse, in an end run around the media's endless editorializing. I think President Trump's tweets are brain barf. A completely developed policy paper would give the media less room to attempt to fill in the spaces than those left by a tweet. When the previous administration pandered to the media, just seems strange to have a president who doesn't ?

I been reading ad nauseam recently, that a wall doesn't work, and it's a big, hugely, waste of money. Were they more effective back when Obama built them ? I missed the big outcry on that wall, back then. Just trying to figure this out. Was it that a shorter piece of wall where you can drive/walk to the end of it, and then cross the border illegally, the part that makes it cost effective ?

I want the President of the United States to offer reasonable statements to the American people. Twitter does not provide an adequate means to do that.

If the sections of wall Obama approved didn't work then why would trump think building a wall from sea to sea work? A ladder, rope, and wire clippers will solve immigrants' problem.

Maybe he thought if the super intelligent Obama would build a wall, you know, a smart, effective, financially sound solution. Wouldn't more built every year be even more effective ? Or are just Obama walls the effective ones ?

Situation 1: 100 feet off the border on either side are buildings. A person runs from a building on one side into a building on the other. Situation 2: 100 miles on either side of the border is open land with easy visibility. A person walks across that 100 miles to get to the border and continues for another 100 miles for cover. While a fence would physically be effective to slow or stop a person from crossing the border in either situation, the cost effectiveness of a fence compared to other methods is different.

Well you know trump does everything opposite of what Obama did and overturns Obama's work with Executive Orders. I expect trump realizes there will be no national monument to him in Washington like the Lincoln Memorial and Washington Monument. So trump will build a wall from sea to sea. And I expect whatever trump actually gets built will be torn down once he is out of office.

No, a big fucking 30 foot concrete monstrosity from San Diego to Brownsville doesn't work. Strategically placed barriers, in conjunction with drones, patrols, heat and motion sensors, and cameras does work.

Why was there no outrage about the Obama wall. You know, those non functioning, easy to bypass, total wastes of money ?

Plus they have guards. I’m assuming they shoot to kill. Yes, they have guard emplacements ! And social media being what it is today, word gets around fast. Not too many takers for breaching that wall. Any one ever notice how we suddenly start getting family groups, even fake ones. With all the media attention about "their separating the families", lol.

How do I know? I live on the border and it's how it's done with no fanfare, no crisis, no photo ops, and no drama. I also know a boat load of border patrol people. They aren't exactly advocating for the wall.

That was poor wording. Everyone knows that Obama built sections of fencing it increase boarder security. The picture obviously shows a fence. There is no goddamn wall. This argument is getting old.

Your quoting the wrong person for the poor wording. I was answering Tenn's post as he wrote it. I believe him. Why would he lie ? A lot of people do use the word wall, in place of barrier. If big walls are a total waste of money, due to nearly total ineffectiveness, how is spending money on a fence rate ? Didn't hear any outcry about that either.
