Why would you think it is ok to 18,500 people into AZ that have ZERO means of support, sometime with NO notice.. Think that this will cause no problems,, This is not counting the thousands that have entered illegally without seeking asylum.

asylum seekers are not illegal. If true asylum seekers they should have stopped as soon as they set foot in Mexico. If "asylum seekers" are going through other countries to get to another country, they are truly not asylum seekers.

If "asylum seekers" are going through other countries to get to another country, they are truly not asylum seekers. I was born and raised in Romania during communism times. We were surrounded by countries that had similar systems: Bulgaria to the south, Yugoslavia on the South west/west, Hungary on the west, Ukraine on the north and east. Many romanians defected/ run off by simply crossing the borders in the neighboring countries and continued on until they hit Italy, Austria or Greece. The point is that it makes no sense whatsoever to seek asylum in a country that has a system as horrible as the one in your home country. Ok, Mexico would work but I don’t believe these immigrants are looking for a hand out from a government. They want a life, a peaceful one at that!

I am sure there are nice people there We got the homeless from NY when they finally decided to clean up NYC. Stuck them on busses and shipped them away. I have to admit , NYC was much nicer to visit without them everywhere. There were still a few last December but nothing like there used to be. By the time the whining started , their homeless was already gone. Btw, Sarasota does not allow them at all.

asylum seekers are not illegal.
Anyone can say the words 'I want asylum'.
Ok, Mexico would work but I don’t believe these immigrants are looking for a hand out from a government. They want a life, a peaceful one at that!
If peace is what they want, then they have to be peaceful. Leave what they left behind, assimilate to this country.

asylum seekers are not illegal.
Anyone can say the words 'I want asylum'. and it is up to the asylum board to determine whether they have a case or not. most often they do NOT have a case, due to documentation requirements.
so, what is your problem with giving them a fair hearing?

And by that I mean fear of anything and anybody that you don’t recognize or know to be a friend. Do you know what is the normal reaction to such a thing? For years, even after I got in the US every time I’d see a cop I had the tendency to shy away, walk across the street so we don’t cross paths, turn my back on and act like I’m interested in some lame dress in a window etc. Can you even begin to understand as to why? Its quite simple: you become conditioned to all of it and sometimes the “fight or flight” or whatever the expression kicks in. They have been told what to do and how to do it all their lives. Maybe they just decided they had enough. But for someone that never experienced or lived thru that it is hard to understand. It takes time, yo7 don’t just flip a switch and act “American like”

Now this is a different group. What could possible go wrong, dropping off the people with no money. In a place where they have no idea where they are at.

Oddly enough to get my license renewed I have to bring my passport, my SS card, and two bills with my name and address on them. Showing the new DL to vote would certainly end the fuss about illegals voting.

That’s what happens when you defund agencies so you can pay for your traveling. Who wants to defund ? Quote; Talks to avert another government shutdown broke down over the weekend — this time over Democrats' demand for a cap on the number of undocumented immigrants who can be detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
The issue has reared its head because the White House has asked for $4.2 billion for ICE to increase its capacity to detain immigrants to 52,000, up from 40,000 currently funded by Congress. Democrats want to cap the detention space ICE can use to hold immigrants in the interior of the country — away from the border — at 16,500.www.nbcnews.com/politics/immigration/why-ice-wants-more-detention-space-migrants-democrats-want-cap-n970071

Not to derail this topic, but did you see where you can buy abandoned villages in Spain for about $96,000?
