It looks like I will be going to the Chianti region of Italy in the fall.
What do you recommend seeing?

Has anyone been to Saturnia springs? I have not. You have to be careful with the Italy spas/springs/thermal baths. They are usually sulfur water and smell like farts. I'd recommend a day in Florence with museum reservations for Uffizi and Accademia, explore the towns and vineyards along the Chianti wine road, a day for Siena and San Gimignano. If you have more time, a day for Lucca and Pisa, or even the Cinque Terre (not on weekends because the traffic can be bad), if you want to explore further south, Montalcino, Montepulciano and Pienza (red wines and cheese). Assisi, Deruta and Cortona (pottery). Kinda depends on your interests. If designer shopping is your thing, The Mall Luxury Outlets.
