Where can I find that mark on the wall or whatever that shows where the Sea Level was 100 years ago, where it is now? What is your ignorant and ridiculous obsession with some imaginary "mark on the wall"? What wall? What mark? You bring it up in every climate change discussion. You sound incredibly uninformed. But over the past century, the average height of the sea has risen more consistently—less than a centimeter every year, but those small additions add up. Today, sea level is 5 to 8 inches (13-20 centimeters) higher on average than it was in 1900. That's a pretty big change: for the previous 2,000 years, sea level hadn't changed much at all. The rate of sea level rise has also increased over time. Between 1900 and 1990 studies show that sea level rose between 1.2 millimeters and 1.7 millimeters per year on average. By 2000, that rate had increased to about 3.2 millimeters per year and the rate in 2016 is estimated at 3.4 millimeters per year. Sea level is expected to rise even more quickly by the end of the century. ocean.si.edu/through-time/ancient-seas/sea-level-riseOh, I get it! You're taking a page from Trump's playbook and you're smarter than the scientists at the Smithsonian! Silly me!

"Satellites like JASON-1, -2 and -3 use precise radars to bounce signals off the ocean's surface to determine the height of the ocean, or sea level." (From the same link)
You're demanding to see a mark scribbled on a sea wall made 100 years ago with a sharpie. Fuck. This is why Trump loves the uneducated and uninformed.

Another thing to think about with warming, and the magnetic poles accelerating change of position. Quote; Dec 20, 2016 · A fast-flowing river of molten iron has been found surging under Alaska and Siberia, some 3,000 km (1,864 miles) below the surface - and it appears to be speeding up. This colossal jet stream, which is estimated to be about 420 km wide (260 miles) and nearly as hot as the surface of the Sun, has tripled in speed in less than two decades , and is now headed towards Europe.www.sciencealert.com/an-accelerating-river-of-molten-iron-has-been-discovered-under-alaska-and-siberia

In June, temperatures at Bodega Bay in northern California reached in excess of 100 degrees Fahrenheit. That was hot enough to cook local mussels inside their shells. The mussels - firmly stuck to coastal rocks, where they feed on plankton floating in the sea water - are exposed at low tides to the scorching sun. According to a research coordinator at Bodega Bay marine reserve, Jackie Sones, this month a California heat wave roasted these shellfish where they sat. "These events are definitely becoming more frequent, and more severe," Harley told The Guardian. "Mussels are one of the canaries in the coal mine for climate change." Last year was the warmest year on record for the world's oceans, and the fourth warmest for the planet itself. A trend of rising global temperatures - in part due to human-driven climate change - can be linked to changes in other species, and the wider spread of diseases, as well as the occurrence of severe heat waves like the one baking Europe this week. www.msn.com/en-us/news/weather/temperatures-in-california-are-so-hot-mussels-are-being-cooked-inside-their-shells/ar-AADE4cz?li=BBnb7KzNothing to see here, folks! There's no mark on any wall, so it's not happening!

insurers are already on top of this game.
to ward off losses from potential flooding, they are refusing to insure low lying areas such as Charleston, SC.
even Trump knows what is in store. he increased his insurance for his coastal golf clubs.

Not only that, but the guy who doesn't believe in climate change is building seawalls around his golf courses to protect against the rising waters. President Donald Trump said he doesn’t buy his own government’s National Climate Assessment detailing the devastating impact climate change will have on the American economy during a Q&A session with reporters on Monday. “I don’t believe it,” Trump said. “No, no, I don’t believe it. <snip> But Trump has taken a very different attitude when it comes to the business he owns. As Politico detailed during the 2016 presidential campaign, Trump International Golf Links sought to build a seawall to protect a golf course he owns in Ireland from “global warming and its effects.” www.vox.com/2018/11/27/18114338/trump-climate-change-assessment-golf-course-ireland

Again...using weather to prove climate change?
This all goes back to the first page of this thread. Pro AGW use weather events to prove their theories yet ignore other weather events that do not prove their theories (writing it off as "just weather, not climate.)
Total bullshit-artists...

Saying it’s cold today so the planet can’t be warming... is not the same thing as tracking extreme new weather patterns and aberrant events.

Saying it’s cold today so the planet can’t be warming... is not the same thing as tracking extreme new weather patterns and aberrant events. Exactly. Scientists have been predicting more and more extreme weather events. If this isn't an extreme weather event in Guadalajara, Mexico, I don't know what is. Yes, that's ice...two metres fell in 20 minutes.

Fake news, We all know that all the Arctic ice has been melted by Global Warming since 2012. I don't think that little girl fox could swim that far.

That you don't know the difference between Alaska and Arizona is not a surprise to anyone.

the only thing that there is a minor dispute about is WHY and what can be done, if anything, about it.

The endgame will be population control. None of us will be around long enough to see it.

Does everyone agree? Yes, I think we can agree the temp is going up,, The real question is why. When they keep pointing to carbon,, that part, I have big question about. Is it getting warmer because of natural reasons, that more that I think! Then of course when they decide to try carbon tax,,

The endgame will be population control. None of us will be around long enough to see it. That and eventually the colonization of Mars and beyond. I believe the colonization of Mars should be at the top of the human races priorities, if we put a real effort in now it would have a chance of being ready when it would actually be needed. Terraforming Mars would probably also give us the technology to clean up the issues with Earth as well. This would require our politicians to think in terms of centuries and the survival of humanity, a far, far stretch over their current how do I get elected in 2/6 years.

Why do you think it is a natural occurrence? Is there a source you use to back you up? I would like to read some good dissenting opinions. All the ones I have seen do not have science based writing.
