As long as it would piss people off here. So you're openly admitting you're a troll. We knew it all along. AS are 99% of those posting on the Political thread!! I never troll anyone, and over 1% of this board's posts are mine, I believe.

We may have been in the same McDonalds 100 times, and I never once recognized you. You don't know me, you couldn't pick me out of a line up. But, you will use your power as a citizen just to "piss me off". It is pathetic And quite frankly, you have done the same! It is part of the game we play here ,,
there is no we.

I have never once even remotely thought about you while formulating opinions and definitely not while voting. I don't support or even pretend to support positions because of you. I don't buy the liberal platform 100% and I have no problem expressing opinions that disagree with them. I have made contradictory statements about even single topics- not to piss someone off, but because I don't believe these problems are simple and easy to fix.

Since the word "trolling comes up here ,,
Why is it not trolling when there it a constant barrage, Trump hate, down to the pettiest level,, only meant to get even with the supporters of Trump! What is the difference??

motivation.
if you are motivated simply to discuss issues and offer your opinion, you are not trolling.
if, on the other hand, every offence of the current administration is met with this kind of reply:
"Woohoo!!!! Making America Great Again!!!!",
that is not contributing meaningfully to the discussion. moreover, if it is not your actual opinion, but just intended to incite others to anger, that is textbook trolling.
forgive me for saying so, but your posts often reflect this latter standard.

I can answer that! There's a big difference between posts that represent a person's thoughts about a given subject/person and posts made (as you've admitted, more than once, many of yours are) strictly to make others angry. The former are opinions, which is what forums are for. The latter are trolling posts which are NOT what forums are for. That, AS, is the difference.

I sincerely believe that President Trump was the big fuck you to liberals. His base, the low information voters, had stuffed down their gut 8 years of President Obama. How excited they were to have a bully like President Trump to say what they wanted too.
That is all.....he had no policies to speak of during the campaign. No normal person can defend his actions during the campaign and after, he surely doesn't represent any dignity and integrity that the USA stands for. His tweets last weekend shows he has no clue what MAGA even means.

My very right wing (but lovely human being) SIL once said, when Obama was president, that she wanted her Republican congress person to literally go to Washington and physically assault liberal congress people. To jump them, pin them to the ground and pummel them in the fact until they 'saw the light.'
She also wanted her elected representatives to shut down government and refuse to pass a single law until Obama was out of office. To her, if she couldn't have a government that perfectly aligned with her politics, she wanted no government at all.
She was absolutely one of the far right people who wanted to send a big FU to liberals. She even attended Trump's inauguration, the first time she's ever done that for any president. I think most of Trump's value, to her, is that he aggressively and obnoxiously 'stand up' to the liberals, and that makes up for any failing Trump might have.
With my SIL, a bipartisan government is impossible. It has to be 100% far right conservatives running things at all levels, or the government has to be shut down. I'm sure there are some far left people who feel the same way. I think bi-partisanship and centrist politics are dead in this country, and it may be that we bounce from far right to far left from this point forward, never getting anything done at all.

Things will get done, but they will only be palatable to the side you can tolerate. And I really mean 'tolerate'. Yay AOC. Yay Trump.

It'll just be tradebacks of doing what trump has done for 95% of his time in office - do anything and everything he can to undo what Obama did. The next president will have to spend a lot of time undoing what trump has done. And without bipartisanship that will just continue and the rest of the world is likely to leave us behind and out of the loop because we won't 1) be able to get shit done and 2) there will be no confidence it won't all be undone in less than 4 years.

Would you want to have to work on a treaty/law/trade deal only to know that in 2 years the next person will undo it all? Other world powers have already demonstrated their willingness to shrug and move on after we back out of things we previously agreed to. If we continue to do that, I wouldn't be surprised at all if they just stop including us at all.

Trade agreements should be equally beneficial to any country entering into them at a per capita exchange. If a country backs out, it means trade is now an equal exchange, and there is no longer a need for agreements.

My point is that a government where each new president spends their term undoing everything the last president makes for an inefficient government that doesn't get much, if anything, done. And that other world powers would not be enthusiastic about playing ball with a country that doesn't get anything done and continually undoes things or goes back on promises.

My very right wing (but lovely human being) SIL once said, when Obama was president, that she wanted her Republican congress person to literally go to Washington and physically assault liberal congress people. Donald Trump deletes Breitbart tweet about how 'tough' his supporters can get [After the New Zealand shooting] In his chat with the Breitbart News Network, Trump said: "I can tell you I have the support of the police, the support of the military, the support of the Bikers for Trump – I have the tough people, but they don’t play it tough — until they go to a certain point, and then it would be very bad, very bad." Donald Trump deletes Breitbart tweet about how 'tough' his supporters can getThere have been some commentators recently who have predicted that, should Trump lose in 2020, either to a Dem or to another GOPer, he won't go 'quietly' and might try to cause a coup to retain power.
At first I scoffed, but after all his weekend tweets, and his statements like this one to Breitbart, plus his insistence that he's wildly popular (when he isn't) I'm wondering if he's living in an alternative reality where he's incredibly popular and the nation is eager to throw aside our constitution and follow him into a benevolent Trump dictatorship. All he needs to do is call on all the 'tough people' who are willing to be very bad, very bad for him.
I hope I'm wrong. I hope when he's finally run out of office, the GOP admin members will do a very good thing for the nation and make sure he goes, so we can do our normal peaceful transition of power.

Should trump lose the 2020 election (if he makes it that far), I expect to see trump removed from the White House, kicking and screaming, while sitting in his gilt high chair.
