Trump goes after George directly: “A total loser!” Trump tweeted, in response to a post from campaign manager Brad Parscale about George Conway — who despite his wife's senior role in the administration has emerged as an outspoken Trump critic.
“We all know that @realdonaldtrump turned down Mr. Kellyanne Conway for a job he desperately wanted. He barely worked @thejusticedept and was either fired/quit, didn’t want the scrutiny? Now he hurts his wife because he is jealous of her success. POTUS doesn’t even know him!” Parscale had tweeted Monday night. www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/donald-trump-slams-kellyanne-conways-husband-as-total-loser/ar-BBUXxuX
I'm having deja vu - high school bitchy girls all over again. I still remember this 2016 article from American Thinker of all places regarding donald trump. Opening and closing paragraphs. Donald Trump: Alpha Male or Mean Girl?As I have previously noted, one of the most common and most absurd defenses of Donald Trump is the claim that he is a so-called "alpha male." Critics (this one included) have noted that he resembles a junior high school bully more than he does any dominant pack animal. Today, however, we can officially dismiss the alpha male claim once and for all, and correct our recategorization as well. He is not, in fact, a junior high school bully. He is a junior high school girl. Not to worry, though, since Trump is no alpha male. He's just a pathetically vain "mean girl." Donald Trump: Alpha Male or Mean Girl? All the more so today.

Tenn, I know you are just quoting something said by someone else, but this message drives me crazy. "He is not, in fact, a junior high school bully. He is a junior high school girl." Comparing Trump to a mean girl, ok, we all get the type. But comparing him to junior high school girls is effectively insulting ALL girls, and by extension all women (because we all go thru that age). Stop making our gender an insult.

'Mean Girl' is most likely a reference to the movie, 'Mean Girls' even though those girls were in high school. I knew a few mean girls in my junior high and high school years. Yet I knew hundreds of girls from those same years that were nice to everyone. The nice girls were the rule and not the exception. The mean girls were an anomaly and we boys and girls knew the difference. Most bullies during the school-age years are boys. But I don't think (for example) 'Bully Boy(s) is an insult to all boys, and later,to represent all men as a whole. But I do understand and appreciate your point of view.

I believe we are saying the same thing - mean girls is a small subset of girls, a recognized "type". Bullies are also a subset, whether of boys or all school kids. But "girls" reads (to me, at least) as ALL girls.
I also think it's interesting how the quote is constructed. "Today, however, we can officially dismiss the alpha male claim once and for all, and correct our recategorization as well. He is not, in fact, a junior high school bully. He is a junior high school girl." Bully was the author's first recharacterization, but he corrected it for better impact, to girl. Implying that girl is even lower/worse than bully. It's those subtle implications that rile me. They are just so pervasive in our culture that we rarely acknowledge them overtly.
Thinking about the reaction I have had to this short snippet, I realized it's a follow-on to a discussion DH and I had over the weekend. He's finishing up teaching a unit on Shakespeare, doing Taming of the Shrew. He's in an alternative school, so his students come from all over, and all his usual plays had already been studied by one kid here and another there, so he needed to cast farther afield, hence using Taming of the Shrew. Also, Women's History month. He wanted to have them do a research project on other women who could/would be labeled shrews, but whose shrewish traits were the reason for their success. So we were brainstorming a list of examples to spark conversation in the classroom, and because learned helplessness is a thing with his school's population honestly. So we got to talking about how certain traits are admirable when one gender displays them, but get labeled in a derogatory way in the other gender.
So, not calling you out, Tenn, just the subtle undercurrent in that quote.

Trump described George Conway as the "Husband From Hell". I wonder how Kelly Anne feels about it?
I would so love to see them as a couple interviewed about how they handle their Political Differences in their marriage/family life. Do their differences affect their relationship? What do they do to keep the differences from affecting their marriage?
I really don't like Kelly Anne, but I want their marriage to be unaffected by this. I have had my differences with my husband over politics more than once, and now my DD and her SO have some issues.

I get that Kellyanne gets paid to be a good PR promoter for Trump, so she'll crawl on glass before she says something negative about him in public, but I think in private, she must bitch to George a lot about what a hard job she has, and how Trump constantly makes it harder, especially due to this chronic lying thing. As George pointed out, it serves no purpose at all to deny something that was recorded on video tape. I'm sure she gets paid well, though. Maybe she's just holding on long enough so that she can afford to retire with a nice nest egg and college for her kids paid for. Unless the Donald is kicking in bonuses, I believe maximum salary for white house folks is around $170,000, give or take a bit...while a nice salary...for these type folks not a lot....The latest back and forth between the two...Donald started but George answered back pretty quick.. ------------------------------------ Donald about George.."Husband from Hell" George answers..."You are just proving my thoughts..Your nuts...thank u" -------------------------------------- www.yahoo.com/news/trump-calls-george-conway-husband-from-hell-131946034.html

And apparently Kelly Anne is defending Trump from her husband's comments. I saw a headline on Politico.com but didn't read the article.

"Billions" on Showtime is a great show where part of the plot is a woman caught between her boss, a hedge fund manager and her husband, head of SDNY that are mortal enemies.

Kelly Anne did defend Trump - says he has a right to push back at anyone who says he's mentally unbalanced.
So, I guess that's about 55% of the voting population in America, right now.
It's going to require a lot of tweeting time.

Lol! I'm a medical professional, a psychiatric medical professional. Trump definitely has a mental disorder. No question about it.

Well I think he is Mentally Unbalanced too, but I am a lay person. I don't think it should be up to me. I think he should be removed from office by Impeachment or by the voters choosing a different candidate in the next election. An interesting question would be if he was so mentally unstable that someone thought he needed to be institutionalized - Who decided and how would they go about getting him committed. I predict it would never happen.
Our mental commitment laws are inadequate to address mental illness in the general population - and we can't seem to resolve it. I don't expect that they will come to terms on an agreement to commit our elected officials.

There is a way for a president to be deemed unable to continue in office due to health issues, but for that to happen, all the members of the cabinet would have to agree on it and vote for it. Zero chance the current cabinet would do that to Trump.

I read that, and posted on my facebook, if I can even convince one person its worth it.
I read about KA Conway, did you know she has made most of that money? She has a law degree also She had a polling company and think she has made a lot there. She has worked at a lot of high profile jobs. I wonder how she ever has time to be a mother, let alone do any raising of all their kids. I doubt she sees them very often, sad for the kids, well, or maybe not. Hope they have some good nannies.
And I swear sometime last year when she was out of sight for awhile she has had a face lift. Her face doesn't look as haggard and hang dog as it did. Why she would ever work for that guy is beyond me. And I would never let someone like trump disparage my husband. I wonder how their marriage survives this and I would not find it worth it. They do not need the money.
Certainly glad to see George speak up, it lets you know at least one republican has some sense.

George Conway carnival clown parade makes Trump look smart and reserved! "carnival clown parade" ....It's one thing to support the Donald but to copy his juvenile school yard doings of suggesting derogatory nick names on any individual he seems to have a problem with.....so what is your excuse. As far as his being reserved...the Donald... 60 tweets is " reserved"..?...…………………. ………. ……………………………...
