Isn't that more interesting? Yeah, "America, love it or leave it" got boring about 50 years ago. It was always a massively stupid and wrong idea anyway. No true American who knows what America is all about would ever say it in the first place.

Let me rephrase this. As long as he is enjoying the perks of being in the US and playing professional sports, he should honor the US symbol. Otherwise play his game in a country with a symbol he can honor. If you don't like it ………………. LEAVEActions have consequences That is the most childish comment and it blows my mind every time someone says it. Grow up already!!! Democracies are all about having the right to try and change what you don't like. It's dictatorships that say shut up and take it.

True patriotism requires that you do what you can to make your country better. Blind acceptance of one's country no matter what its faults is not patriotism, but nationalism, a far less noble pursuit.

Million dollar pro sports players can complain all they want to in their private lives. But I think the team owners have the right to say 'enough' when the players are on the payroll
We have a difference of opinion ………. let's let it go at that.

I agree, but his team didn't have a policy about it, nor were they upset by it until the government got inappropriately involved
