Your question doesn't make any sense, P.I. I think you're asking me why I've been averse to gutter language on the PM board. I don't recall I have been. I usually just ignore it. I don't recall having been asked to condone anything on this message board. I'm not these peoples' mother; nor, am I in charge, or responsible for what they might choose to post. It's not my call. I might disagree with a concept. If I do, I'll say so. How one expresses that concept, however, is up to the poster doing the expressing, not to me. Ok how about this little tidbit ? We are so vile and foul-mouthed. It's like I'm f*cking w/ a grandpa or something. I almost feel guiltyI guess my question is because you keep reminding me that you used to run a message board what is point of saturating a discussion with "gutter talk" when other phrases could be used much more effectively??

I haven't read this entire thread, but I do have to say...there isn't enough alcohol on this planet to make me go read P&M.

hiya Tenn..... storms are heading my way! Hi steff-the storm prediction center was pretty much on target when they said the storms would arrive in Memphis. They said they would arrive around 12 noon today and sure enough they started at 11:50 a.m. We had a tornado warning but no touch down. Straight line winds did a lot of damage though. I hope they are a weaker when they reach your area tomorrow. Same for mmhmm. Tenn

But again back to this OP...and I repeat don't just dismiss the so called "Birther Movement" you will see the RNC use it in some way to attack Obama in the Presidential elections even though it is bogus. But it has been given Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, and etc some canon fodder IMHO..

There's not enough money in the world to make me go read those threads at P&M. While I agree the Florida governor is off his rocker unless they make Medicaid a block grant program I don't see him being able to cut those services. The states are bound by the state plans that spell out how they will administer Medicaid. And under the terms of the still standing for now Affordable Care Act, states cannot cut their eligibility below the level they offered when the Act became law. Right now Arizona's plan is the only one up for renewal so they can change what services they cover.
If the governor of Florida would truly like to balance his budget he could start by targeting the rampant healthcare fraud particularly in south Florida. No matter what I decide to audit in south Florida I guarantee arrests and prosecutions, its that easy.

You missed a pretty good debate on the P&M Message Board about whether or not Obama is natural born citizen or not..some interesting ideas on both sides of this issue.

hiya Tenn..... storms are heading my way! Steff: Miss R just said something about the sirens. R U okay? Yep, I'm fine. some nasty storms are supposed to roll thru late tonight/early tomorrow that could do some damage... but luckily, the tornado siren is on the other side of the trees in my backyard, so I have plenty of warning....and there's a trailer park a block over for a target that's not my house....

Thanks Iggy! The guy doesn't quite understand reality. I understand times are tough but you are obligated by contracts to provide certain services at this time. Cutting services to the severely disabled is not what Secretary Sebelius had in mind when she said states had flexibility in crafting plans that maintained eligibility requirements but took strain off state budgets.

Here you go the Birther Claim pretty well summarized:
Who is qualified to be president of the United States? The U.S. Constitution itself gives proof of that.
Article II, Section 1:5 says that only a natural-born citizen is eligible for office of the president.
Article I, Section 8 says that Congress (under authority granted by the people) has the power to punish offenses against the Law of Nations.
The Law of Nations says that a natural-born citizen is one whom is born in the country of parents, both of whom are citizens of that country. So even if Obama was born on the steps of the White House, because his father is a British subject, this in itself makes Obama ineligible to hold the office of U.S. president.

I have no desire to bash my head against the wall in that debate. Furthermore in the interests of erring on the side of caution I'm not going to involve myself in a debate on that topic with people I don't know. Nothing personal but when you are a federal employee, he is technically the ultimate boss so whatever my opinions may be of him and his eligibility I will keep to myself.

I wll quit polluting EE with my soapbox spiel but that guy just rubs me the wrong way. To me one of the hallmarks of an established nation is that you take care of those who can't help themselves. I'm not talking about the welfare queens of the world who don't want to get a job. I'm talking about people who are truly disabled.
Florida has already had a managed care Medicaid experiment fail spectacularly and now they decide to cut services to those who most need it? Don't get me wrong, we didn't get ourselves into this mess overnight and digging out is going to be painful for most of us I'm afraid but to essentially give the disabled a death sentence is wrong on too many levels to list. These are people who need assistance with eating, bathing, going to the bathroom, they will die without assistance.
Ok I am really done now and stepping off the soapbox.

I would think that someone would be in charge of verifying eligibility to run for offices. I think he's done more to sink himself and ruin any chance he might have had for re-election than any republicans or tea party members can do with the supposed eligibility issue.

Apparently, P.I., you believe everyone should be subject to your personal judgements. If you don't like it, it's pointless, or inane, or vulgar, or ... whatever. I don't think that way. Others are not subject to my will. They have wills of their own. If I don't like something, I'm free to skip it. So are you.
Now, dinner's ready.

Clearly you have forgotten that when you read about the evils of drinking you give up reading not drinking! No one in their right mind gives up alcohol, caffeine, and salt on the same day. I'm afraid busy season has fried your brain.

I caved on the caffeine by 11am...but I only had one today...I had a killer headache...not sure if that was caffeine withdrawal or a hangover...hey, I had to polish off the bottle of wine in the fridge since I was giving up alcohol...
