This is the reason that while living in central Ill...I carried cat litter & wood ashes from the fireplace and a little shovel in my trunk. It works wonders for getting traction on both packed snow or ice. Used it many times....it's also a reason I moved south. So Tractor, how was the meeting?

I got stuck in a snow bank in my own driveway last night. We got about 10 inches of snow last night, with lots of blowing/drifting over solid ice. County hasn’t plowed yet, took me 3 hours just to get my driveway passable last night. Despite all that, I really don’t mind all the white stuff. Yet you still chose to use your car instead of your truck?

You don't have AAA, or even roadside assistance with your car insurance? h CAA has been a lifesaver. For $74, you get three tows, plus help if you lock your keys in the car or need a battery boost. I will get the full amount reimbursed from my insurance company

I also get mileage reimbursement, less cost to go means more money in my pocket.

More than once, I have put my car in gear, then got out and pushed it to get it unstuck. Not the smartest thing I've ever done (hard to jump back in when it's moving), but it worked! LOL
→Not going to try that again!

I have Coach Net still for the motorhome, but t also covers all our vehicles for towing and minor breakdowns, so well worth the fee. We rarely if ever have a need, I did once on my car and twice on the motorhome.

I can't believe the way he drives in the snow. - Sheesh! (No. I was not on a hill. I did it once on a paved/plowed road and once in a plowed parking lot. Both times I was driving my VW Beetle. Took me about 30 secs to get unstuck.) Now I have a few sets of gripper things made for getting you unstuck, and I would call a tow truck. I'm not in such a hurry or a foolish!
