I took steroids for 5 days, and now they are gone. It has moved to my chest. I took my son in to see if it was strep, and he has an ear infection. My family = mess

My Mom told me about "the crud" this morning. Apparently my Aunt and Uncle have it. It sucks. Back in New England when I was a kid in the '50s and '60s, we called what's called'the crud' today, 'the grip'. In Polish, it's "gripa".

A couple weeks ago I asked my doctor how flu season was going this year. He let out a big sigh of relief and said it's actually been ok...not too many people coming in with bad symptoms. That's a stark contrast to last year, when the local news radio station was practically giving daily updates on the number of flu-related deaths in the county.

I am finally feeling better. It took 6 days, now I just need to become stronger again, hope it doesn't take long.

My coworker is the only person I know for sure got the flu. She ended up in Urgent Care Friday after missing 3 days of work and they told her that's what it was. They said if she would have come in 2 days later they could have given her Tamiflu, but it was too late at that point. She was starting to get better. Last night she still was not great. Says she hasn't really ate anything since Tuesday.
She has always refused to get the flu shot.

I don't because it makes me as sick as getting the flu. I might try it next year but I dread being sick for a week after I get it.
I just hit below 180, 179, I cannot remember the last time I've been under 180. I still have no appetite so its a good time for this. And when I do get hungry I am snacking on halos and apples. And eating my oats for breakfast. I so need to do this and like I told hubs every pound off my feet has to be good for me. Wish me luck and staying strong to do this. I'm getting a lot of shakes though, don't think it has anything to do with that as I'm eating plenty, I'm not starving.
OK, DD and I are getting ready to go to the city. I'm stir crazy, just have a bit more on the taxes tonight so big relief there. We are going to meet hubs in town to see his progress on the house. He is taking his mom and aunt to get ice cream. I doubt he goes with us.
Going to have to have the new brace go back, the Velcro across the foot is not good, can't get it tight and the tongue is not wide enough to go across and under the eyelets or at the bottom so the lace isn't on it. Somebody goofed on this one.

I got the flu shot. I have come down with something today. Hopefully a cold. I've mostly spent the day lounging on the couch.
