How is that even a thing? I mean, I could understand a man getting frostbite leading to gangrene, but .... I just don’t understand!!!!!! Gangrene can be the result of reduced circulation. For example, people with Raynaud's phenomenon, in which circulation to the extremities and digits is restricted, can get gangrene in the affected digits if it is untreated. Interestingly, sildenafil (generic Viagra) is one of the medications used to treat Raynaud's with gangrene. Maybe the whatever drug is the subject of the ambulance-chaser commercial caused reduced circulation that led to gangrene. (Just a guess--not going to google it!)

My mom took sildanafel for hypertension in her lungs. The doctor explained to me that it loosens up the blood vessels so more blood can flow through. No reason it should be so expensive as a generic, except for the demand created by old guys wanting boners! 😈

All commercials annoy me...not just because they seem to be purposely made to annoy people but it's the fact that within an hour-long program, you will see that same commercial at least six times. It's part of the reason I've pretty much given up watching regular TV.

Do you ever find yourself irrationally irritated or otherwise really, really annoyed by certain commercials, not necessarily because of content but because of some aspect of their presentation? Commercials generally don't bother me since I understand that they pay for the shows I enjoy watching, and I can usually ignore them or tune them out anyway. Some of them are clever and fun. And sometimes there are dogs or other animals, which always cheers me up. So, for the most part, I'm a live-and-let-live sort of person with regard to commercials. However, every now and I find myself irrationally irritated by a commercial. That whispering Michelob Light commercial from the Super Bowl (which keeps turning up in the middle of my cooking shows) just sets my teeth on edge. Just say it. Whispering is annoying. The smug person who narrates the Panera commercials is also really annoying. The whispering is supposed to be ASMR. Done right, I love it. I listen to a lot of it on YouTube, which helps me destress. I am not a fan of that commercial either, because that particular actor just doesn't do it well. You either have the ability or you don't; mere whispering is not ASMR ability. And I really dislike Panera, period. I agree on the commercials; they sound very pandering and condescending, like Panera knows best and you're a weenie for not understanding how good their food is. Most auto commercials annoy the crap out of me, period. They're the used car salesmen of the advertising world. I don't have an issue with most charity advertising, as long as the organization is a legit non-profit; but some of them need to tone down the begging rhetoric. Tugging at my heartstrings is one thing; bombarding them until they break is another. As for commercials I'm OK with: anything with chocolate in it. Don't even care who makes it. I'm good with it. Period.

I absolutely loathe the DQ Valentine ones that are playing now. For the love of God, who in their right mind would give their "sweetheart" a plastic SPOON as a gift? Every time it airs, I want to shove that spoon up the guy's nose!

I dislike the Buick commercials, as I'm not sure I "get" it since they are BOTH Buicks! I've long said that I'm not old enough to drive a Buick, as their reputation to me is that they're a car that my grandparents would drive! Even though I like the look of some of the current Buicks. So now it's like they're trying to appeal to the younger crowd - but instead of showing a stodgy car and a stylish Buick and the people assuming their friend's car must be the stodgy car if it's a Buick - but no, instead, it's this cool car! - they instead show TWO Buicks and their both cool? But one's a convertible and one has a roof rack for their surfboard? I don't get the marketing. I also dislike the Cadillac commercial with Matthew McConaughey...feels slimy.

I am a life long non-smoker. I have never allowed smoking in my home or car, but there is an ad from "smoke-free CA" that really p*sses me off.
In the ad they talk about how second hand smoke is bad especially for children (so far, so good) and then they go on and say even if you don't smoke your neighbors smoke can come through the walls yada, yada, yada. It is specifically aimed at outlawing smoking in multi-unit housing and on the balconies/pivate outdoor areas. And that is what gets to me. If you don't want anyone to smoke just outlaw smoking, but don't go after one specific group only! As long as you allow the sale of cigarettes, and collect a boatload of taxes from that while at it, stay out of peoples homes about this

That's actually a Lincoln commercial. I thought they were weird and kind of creepy at first, also, but apparently his performance in those commercials is sort of a mocking recreation of some iconic (apparently weird) character he played in a movie I didn't see. (Maybe someone who knows what character that is can clarify.)

The ones that drive me crazy are for the Poshmark Website. I have never visited, but they have these young women saying "I made $10,000 selling clothing I no longer wear" or "I was able to put a down payment on my new car with the $$ I made selling clothing..." The YM me just can't imagine how pricey and voluminous the stuff you don't need or want in your wardrobe would have to be to sell it on a second hand web site and make that kind of money.
I go nuts every time I see it, and DH just doesn't get it.

I go nuts every time I see it, and DH just doesn't get it. I had the same reaction to those commercials: They must be delusional if they think they are "making" money selling what must be large amounts of overpriced designer clothing they bought but don't wear anymore. Then I read an article about how people make money with that site. They find designer clothing at thrift shops and consignment shops in upscale neighborhoods and sell it on Poshmark at a profit. It is also likely that most of the people doing that are not making the sums mentioned in the commercial.

Ugh, the chunky milk commercials are so bad. It's for mint mobile, which already confuses me - mint is for tracking your finances, not cell phones! But the chunky milk thing is really gross. Yeah, it's just not right - stop talking about it!

"Ask your doctor about Drug XYZ!", followed by.... "Did your doctor prescribe Drug XYZ, and you suffered or died? Call the law offices of Shyster and AmbulanceChaser, to join our class-action lawsuit. You may be entitled to million$!" I have to laugh when lawyers' commercials are blaring away in hospital and doctors' office waiting rooms. Did you take Drug XYZ? Did you have complications with pelvic mesh? Did you have this particular artificial hip? I have Netflix at home which is blessedly free of commercials, but the ones I find most irritating are those directed at the desperate: reverse mortgage firms, JG Wentworth offering to give you a lump sum for your structured settlement, payday loan places, etc. I suppose that since many people who are home during the day are unemployed and need money it makes sense.
