What the F does my post have to do with your response? Evidently you are still pissed you are losing your government controlled rental and will have to pay a reasonable amount to live somewhere like everone else. Not any longer. Tennesseer, I promised to be less confrontational at the first of the year. I am just happy so many people who are no longer jobless! Here it is January 24th, and I am sort of still good on my pledge, imho You certainly have held that one in your back pocket, haven't you! We both knew I would not make it forever, but really my response was truthful rather than confrontational, imho of course.

The quote was memorable as would be if the Empire State Building suddenly landed in my backyard.

Are you referring to your accusation that I live in government-subsidized housing? Nothing could be further from the truth. It's like me calling you a deadbeat dad and then claiming I was truthful.

I'm not IN a government controlled rental. I don't even qualify for a government controlled rental. After 40 years of nursing, I have a nice pension. Are you hallucinating? Maybe I am wrong, but if landlords are only allowed to increase your rent by a specific amount, the government is controlling the rent you pay. I bolded it for you. what are you doing right now? How much under market rate were they charging you?
Quite a bit. They're only allowed to increase it a small percentage per year.
However, they're tearing it down, and not renting it out for twice as much.

However, they're tearing it down, and not renting it out for twice as much. You're not right. It has nothing to do with government housing. We have a Régie du logement here, which stands for tenants' rights. Lamdlords are only allowed to increase it by a certain percentage, unless they've done major renovations. They can't surprise you with doubling your rent out of the blue when you renew your lease. The government doesn't pay anyone anything. They can charge a new tenant whatever they want. I am confused. This IS GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED RENT that the homeowner must acccept. If your landlord is in the perogram this owner cannot get current market rates. I also did not state you were in "government housing. I stated rent controled by the government.
This is from the website provided:Has an unstable financial situation made it impossible to for you and your family to afford a suitable home? Low rent housing might be the solution. Who is eligible for this kind of housing and how to you apply? What is low rent housing? It is housing or partially funded by a government agency called the Société d’habitation du Québec (SHQ) and administered by the Office municipal d’habitation in your area. This type of housing (known in French as LLM or HLM) is offered to people or families whose financial situation prevents them from finding adequate housing. Who is eligible for low rent housing? You must be at least 18 years old or be an “emanicipated minor” (person under 18 with the rights of an adult). You must be able to meet your basic needs (personal care, housekeeping etc.) either on your own or with help from an outside person. You must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, and currently living in Quebec. You have lived in Quebec or, in some cases, in the area served by your Office municipal d’habitation, for at least 12 months in the last two years. The gross monthly income of your household must not be more than the amount set by the government. Gross monthly income means before paying taxes. You should know that the value of the things you own can also be taken into account. Each Office municipal d’habitation can make rules about the limits on the value of things owned by tenants. Use the search tool on this website to contact your local office for more information For the city of Montreal, consult the Office municipal d’habitation de Montreal website. You can believe whatever you want, but I believe if the government forces a landlord to accept less than market rate becuse you meet a certain standard, you are in government controlled (but not owned) rental property.

Mostly political noise designed to energize the Democrat base. Kind of like the wall. There is no requirement for him to offer up his tax returns for public scrutiny. It was and continues to be voluntary.

If they need to see the returns in order to fulfill tbeir duty, then they will have to do so

Why do all the Repo-Cons fear the Trump tax returns so much? Could their king be a tax dodging fraudster? Trump should proudly show them to reveal he is clean and very successful.

Damn those tenant rights! Jack their rents up or boot them out in 3 days!

Should be exactly what they do.
Why so much fear from the right? Don't they want to know their king isn't a complete crook or has 'rule of law' gone by the wayside like 'fiscal responsibility'?

Seems to me that they would be negligent in their duties to not examine what could be a critical piece of evidence. "Could be" isn't a license to do whatever you want. You have to look at things first to determine if they contain important information. Therefore it is most appropriate to use "could be" at this point in time. There is sufficient probable cause that there is a conflict of interest that the tax return will help prove exists.

Congress has the duty to investigate evidence ofcorruption and violations of the emollunents clause. If they need to see the returns in order to fulfill tbeir duty, then they will have to do so Great!!! does that mean We, John Q. Public gets to see every Senator and Congress person income tax? Go thru each and every one of them with a fine toothed comb?? Cool!!!! Pretty soon No Congress persons or Senators!! We get to start from scratch,,
