Of Sears out of bankruptcy. The government is concerned Lambert would kill the pension and leave it for the government distressed pension fund to put all the workers into their system. www.cbsnews.com/news/government-fears-eddie-lampert-would-wipe-out-sears-pension-plans/Problem being Lambert's bid is the only one that might save the company. Everyone else says they would kill the company and sell off the pieces. As poorly as Lambert ran these companies, I am not sure they should let him get it.......

This has been a slowly dying clustermess for years. Either Lampert tanked the company to buy it for a song, or he is one of the most inept executives ever.
I was with a company where one of its major retailers was having this kind of trouble and it is a very difficult decision when to cut them off, you run the risk of them going out of business, not getting paid, and the retailer flooding the market with your product at discounted prices which cannibalizes your sales until they run dry.

It was gotten out of wack long ago, but the ones at the top not making the right decisions.
I don't think he should get to buy it. And it's a shame that Craftsman got sold as well as a few other things. I've owned Kenmore washers/dryers for years & years...including my current set and my old set that I kept for backup.
