Cool! I might have thought this was just a fluke, if the crow hadn't taken it back to the top and done it again. They are so smart! Animals are lots smarter than humans give them credit for, I think.

Crows are the Einsteins of the bird world. Is it you a crow has exchanged 'gifts' with you for a snack?

Crows are the Einsteins of the bird world. Is it you a crow has exchanged 'gifts' with you for a snack? Yes, it was me. Paper clips, a single gold earring, some pretty red berries all appeared on my porch after feeding them. It's not that uncommon. www.bbc.com/news/magazine-31604026Lots of people love the birds in their garden, but it's rare for that affection to be reciprocated. One young girl in Seattle is luckier than most. She feeds the crows in her garden - and they bring her gifts in return.

Crows also know who is nice to them & who isn't and pass that knowledge on to the next generations. So be nice or they may attack!
Has anyone here ever seen a Japanese crow?...those things are HUGE! They scare the wits out of little kids over there.
