I’d love to buy a WaterPik for myself. However, there are too many brands to choose from. I’m wondering does anybody have good experiences, bad experiences, in-between experiences they’d be willing to share? What’s your brand? How long has it last? And, has your dentist seen a real difference? Thanks for your help and advise.

I honestly like the sonicare one. It's portable, quick, and less messy. My dad has one too. I had a more traditional but cheaper one - felt like I was always either drowning or squirting my nose/eye with water.
I need to start using mine again. I'd say it lasts as long as my sonicare toothbrush does. My first toothbrush lasted around 7 years.

My DD1 got a Sonicare for Christmas. She picked it out (returned/exchanged it 3 times, to get the one she wanted. LOL). She said she LOVES it! Too soon to know the other answers.
When I lived with my brother, some years ago, he had a WaterPik. It could drown even the best swimmer in less than 4 minutes! haha
Good Luck!

Toomuch, what style did DD1 want? I'm not sure, actually. I know that initially she paid $30 more, to get it in pink. Then she decided that she wasn't being responsible, so she took the pink one back. When she got home with the 2nd one, it was supposed to be the same as the pink one except the color. It wasn't. So she took that one back too. I think she really likes the one she finally got. (It doesn't spray water) She probably got one that travels easily, cuz she is a flight attendant. There is such a vast difference in the prices! It's crazy! If I'm spending $280 (or more) for a toothbrush, it better have some awesome features on it! Have you found one you like? Do you want it to spray water?

LOL! I didn’t know a “WaterPik” didn’t use water! So you’re saying DD1 has a sonicare that shoots air, not water?
I’d ❤️ to know what model.

I havea Sonicare one and use it all the time. I’m at work and can’t check the model but I got it on the recommendation of my dentist. The hygienist said it’s made a difference in my checkups.

dezii, thanks for the link. I use an Oral B electric toothbrush and it works well for me. I just want to do more. I have ignored my teeth for far too long. I need to catch up on my cleanings and probably spend a boat load of money fixing years of neglect.
