Got both closets in my bedroom packed and emptied. Same with the hope chest. That one took a bit longer 'cause, you know, you can't just *pack* the hope chest, you have to go through the memories, too. Time for a break and then I'm hoping to have another burst of motivation to get the rest of the framed art wrapped in brown paper.
Oh! One load of laundry done, too. Well, the delicates are hanging and the rest is in the dryer, tumbling.

That sounds like major progress dannylion ! Knee Deep in Water Chloe , so two jobs were not enough, you're going for your doctorate too?! TheOtherMe the idea of you as a meth head just cracks me up LOL! This weekend (updated) - put up art in DS2's room/DH's office/Sun - finish online marking/Sun - input marks X 3/Sun
(Sorry but I really needed to see a shorter list.)
This is my last class for my second post-grad certification in educational administration. If I want to have more options than "just" principal, I have to have the advanced certification. However, in having both of these certifications, that means my DEd will only have to be 80 credits instead of 135.

OMG. What a mess this weekend. 5 of our 20 cabinets are damaged and could not be installed. 2 of them are base cabinets that are needed to measure and install countertops. I was so upset. Had to cancel the countertops for this week. Went to Lowes yesterday to get the cabinets sorted out and they are calling manufacturer today. Flooring guys are starting today, but they are in for a surprise to know they won't be able to do the kitchen this week. I am calling the flooring place this morning to talk to them. We are so disappointed. Now we are looking at 2-3 weeks before countertops and flooring can be finished.

ohmomto2boys, I'm sorry! That must be such an awful letdown, when you've been so looking forward to your new kitchen.

We are so disappointed. Now we are looking at 2-3 weeks before countertops and flooring can be finished.
DH ran the flooring underneath the counters, then if we want to reconfigure the kitchen, we can do so without replacing the flooring. That said, since one of my dogs chewed a hole in my carpet last week, we plan to replace the flooring next spring. DH is not planning to do the kitchen, but if I get my way we might just do it. I am going to make my Living room and dining room and entryway all the same - probably the kitchen too, now that they have pvc laminates that are more waterproof.
Sorry that happened to you. We actually got extras of some and were missing some when we took delivery on ours. We were lucky the sore "made it right" b/c DH didn't check off the list when he picked them up. We had very few special order cabinets for our basement, so they were mostly in stock. I am sorry the cabinets came in wrong - they take up so much space in the boxes - so I am sure your living situation is even more chaotic now.
I am working on DH's Books, I have again procrastinated too long, and I was missing months worth of transactions. I was able to download the missing transactions. I also added an app to quickbooks to pull in the American Express Transactions. I pay $9.95/month for the transactions to pull from the Chase Business Checking account to quickbooks - and it should pull the Business CC transactions too - I left a message for someone there last week - we need to change something so we get the CC transactions too, the problem is I am a signer on the Checking acct, so I was able to set up the pull on the Checking account, but I do not have anything to do with the CC's, so I can't get them. DH says he can't set up a log in id to get the Checking account transactions b/c I have one. That does not make sense, I will see what the guy says when I talk to him today.

Well changing the weather stripping on the front door has already made a huge improvement. It took 2 trips and I need to return an item tonight but it is done and the heater did not click on nearly as often yesterday. I am hoping for lower heating bills this winter. I did not start on the kitchen but I plan to do one cabinet at a time nightly instead of having a huge batch of things all over the place. I believe that it will work better for me. And if I have more gumption I can just do another cabinet.

Hi Kids! It's been a busy time here, dealing with doctor appointments, one minor surgery, and a big pile of paperwork. My next "big" project is finding a new light fixture for my dining area. As the days get shorter, it's painfully obvious to me that the lighting is totally inadequate. Oh well. At least I've got enough light in the food prep area. As always, I'm impressed with the progress that all of you are making. Keep up the good work!

ohmomto2boys , so sorry that happened! I really am not a Lowe's fan, and I hope they make it right for you folks! snapdragon , thank you for the reminder about the stripping. I'm going to put it on our winterizing list. ~~~~~~~~~~~~
I accomplished everything on the list I posted Friday except for decorate for Halloween: ~7 loads laundry, including sheets and mattress cover. We also flipped the mattress since it is a new quarter. ~Emptied, refilled, and started the dishwasher during the span of the entire weekend. ~Hand washed pots, pans, etc. ~Processed salads, produce, and boiled eggs for this week. ~Planned this week's suppers
~Spent about an hour each Sat and Sun in my home office. The results were a grocery bag of random items tossed, a box of paperwork to burn, and started a small box of Harley items to gift to a friend. I also finally put the rather large box of stuffed animals in my truck to take to the PD tomorrow and stored the oscillating fan for winter. The office closet is now organized, and the file drawer purged and labeled correctly, just need to work on the desk top.
~Put summer clothes away, and made piles of cool and cold weather clothes on the shelves. It was 43 degrees on the way to work this morning and is supposed to snow Wednesday night.
~Put away the jewelry I'd packed for my NYC trip. ~Scrubbed the toilet, restocked TP and towels ~Read 3 magazines and put them in the pile for my sister. ETA: Oh, and my Raiders won. Not by much, and it was a bit scary for awhile, but they did it!

Have been sleeping most of day. Just took a shower and that made me feel better.
My only other goal for today is to clean Lucy's box and get the trash out.
I am very weak as I have not eaten since Saturday. I considered going to the ER last night but didn't do it. I seem to be improving now so I'm glad I didn't go there.
Lucy is being a great nurse and staying right by me.

I dropped a box of Clothing off at Goodwill on my Lunch, and the guy from the bank called me back, so I have an apt for Wed AM at 9:30 am. I don't really like the time, will see what DH says, I might have to reschedule. I work way on the other side of town, and if I let my DH get to the office before I try to get him to the bank...I will end up waiting for him to turn up at the bank. Once he has a line of customers, it is hard for him to get away.
I have a Work Comp auditor coming in tomorrow. I should be good, expect him to be here only about an hour. I should clean up my desk. I have a bout a half hour today and and a hour or two in the Am.

Today's accomplishments and a Mom Rant My House Lawn Mowed Pine Needles raked Emptied the summer flower pots (It is supposed to freeze the next couple of nights) Drained the hoses and put them away in the garage Put the sprinklers away in the garage Pulled up some of the garden (Until both yard debris bins were full) Mom's Lawn Mowed Lawn furniture removed from deck and stored on patio below deck (9 chairs, 3 foot stools, 2 tables) Brought umbrella and stand in from deck Covered the table that remains on the deck Put bricks on the table cover because apparently it blows off if there aren't bricks on it. Finally convinced Mom to wrap her furnace hose. She has a high efficiency furnace and there is the tube that runs out the front of the house to drain condensation. If it isn't wrapped it freezes when it gets really cold and then the heat won't turn on. Brought in Mom's mail Carried up the plants that were sitting on the patio mostly dead because she never got them planted.
Mom was driving me crazy today because I wasn't doing things her way. There are really steep steps from the deck to the back yard. I am always afraid of falling on those steps, especially when carrying things like chairs etc and you can't see. Her chairs aren't the folding kind. I backed her car out and carried them around the house it is easier that way for me. So she is busy telling me to carry everything to the edge of the steps and then I won't have to climb all the way up. Then it was your sister did that last year for me I should have called her she did it in nothing flat because she can go up and down the stairs. She also didn't want to wrap her furnace thing because it wasn't that cold yet. I told her Mom I am here now I am on vacation now let's get it done now. She finally relented and did it while I was carrying the furniture down. It has always been her way or no way. I also don't know why she needs so much furniture up on the deck, except she keeps hoping someone will come by and sit out there with her.

I think that's a common thing in Iowa. And it's 90 miles from Des Moines and 45 miles from any other larger city; though only 20 miles from the grand metropolis of Marshalltown. I got nothing done today. Got hit by a migraine. BUT...it's gone now. Just in time to go to bed for the night.

Baby girl went back home to my sister's this morning and as exhausting as it was having her here, I'm missing her already. I am looking forward to getting back to our "normal" routine though, that doesn't involve 20 extra steps to be prepared for a 2 month old lol. I was able to get all of the landscape beds cleaned up, deadheaded, and weeded this weekend. It was MUCH needed.
Now H is down with a stomach bug. DS2 was vomitting last week, it looks like he shared the love with his dad. I have been lysol-ing EVERYTHING in the house to keep it from finding it's next victim. DS2's birthday party is this weekend and I have zero time to be sick.

This week- online marking part 3/Tues - Class A: 18 grammar tests/Tues- Class B: 19 grammar tests I marked before, during and after school today. The idea of an extra day off next week with no marking is very motivating!

TheOtherMe , I am glad Lucy is taking care of you. debthaven , there really is something to be said about a day to yourself. nikiz628 , fingers crossed no one else becomes ill. nidena , hope you're feeling better today. Speaking of being under the weather, I went and got my flu shot this morning (free w/ insurance). I do not want to repeat last Christmas' Santa gift of DH then me coming down with the flu. Picked up my prescription while there.
Also I: ~Bought a few Halloween items on sale at 20% off. I'd been eyeing a certain strand purple spooky "medicine bottle" lights for about a month now. It paid to wait. ~Dropped off the box of stuffed animals at the police station ~Attempted to wash my bug laden windshield It's Halloween treat and swag giveaway time here at the office. This is an opportunity to rid of more freebies from trade shows, etc. Last night I spent about 20 minutes in my home office clearing off more things off my desktop. I discovered the charger cords in the tablet and cell phone boxes purchased 2 years ago. (I'd been using other cords we had on hand.) The boxes will go in the trash.

Hope all that have been ailing are feeling better and will soon be up and about again. Wishing good luck with all dealing with home renovation issues, moving issues and just dealing with general non-routine activities.
Between my donations to the library and to a local school this week and the bags of items that I just packed up for trash pickup tomorrow I got another 100 items out of the house. Usually I have less than 10 a week. I also have been adding a few items to my donation boxes in the garage and hope to fill up this last box soon so that those items can be added to my total and can be totally out of my house.
Goals for this week: Several held over from last week. Crafts: *New project -- one started and another one in thoughts but not started yet Had to restart the started one as I kept making mistakes. *Repair earrings *Update Etsy listings *Add at least one item to the shop *Pack car for craft show *Recharge back up charges and square device
Commitments and Errands: Tutoring -- Today Meeting -- Today Classes -- Wednesday and Thursday Hair Appt -- Thursday Craft Show -- Friday
Routine Home Items: *Maintain the organized areas *Keep up with dishes and laundry *Organize at least two areas *Add several more items to donation box/ trash/library donation *Roomba several rooms *Mop kitchen and bath *Water indoor plants *Clear flat areas in BR (ongoing issue) *Begin the Halloween/ Fall decorations

I bought another pair of shoes on Amazon this week because mine are getting worn (Merrell Jungle Mocs). I generally have a one in/one (or two) out rule, but my current Jungle Mocs are still fine. I got this pair for later because they were 35% off. My old Clark Chelsea boots are to be donated. (I replaced them in the UK earlier this month). I just have to actually take them to the donation bin. On my list for next week when I'll have a bit more time.

I really need to get my sh*t together for DS2's birthday party this weekend. I have been slacking on prep and I am going to be so mad at myself for it come Friday evening.
To Do: Finish purchasing supplies needed Find pizza deals/pre order pizza for party Finish assembling treat bags Make centerpieces Decide on cake design, get supplies Start baking, prepping cake decor Organize and load up supplies in car Wrap present
Thankfully his party is at the park, so I don't have to get my house in "lots of company" shape.
