Today Paul blocked his counterterrorism appointee, Flake said he won’t vote on another judicial nominee until mueller protection gets a senate vote, and Fox News sided with CNN. Forget th Dems. Infighting may be the only saviour at this point. Republicans hoped to ride the Trump coattails, and found out in the midterms Trump's actually wearing a wife beater t-shirt.
Unless you're in a very hard red area, if you're a GOPer, it's no longer imperative that you toady to the king. It makes more sense for GOPers in soft red/purple/blue areas to show themselves to be independent and even bipartisian supporters, depending on the issue, if they want to continue in their jobs.
And Flake, I suspect, is going to spend the next 2 years attempting to show why he should be president, which means he'll be trying to distance himself from Trump, and positioning himself as a rational moderate.

As I sit here going thru these post, here is what the future holds, Your hatred of Trump and you constant posts about it,,,
So where down the road, there will be a Democratic President,, No matter whom it will be, they will get the same treatment as Trump is getting now,, or worse! Been there done that. Where were you from 2008-2016? Remember all the bitching about Obama's golf outings, and his trips to Hawaii on the taxpayer dime? The big stink when he didn't return a soldier's salute when he entered the helicopter - how everyone bitched about how anti-American, anti-military and down right rude Obama was? Which was to be expected, since he's a Muslim terrorist plant born in Africa.
Now we have a president who already spent more going to play golf than Obama did in 8 years, who not only refused to attend a WWI cemetery ceremony, he couldn't be bothered to even lay a wreath at Arlington on Veteran's day, and who may have a very cozy and ongoing relationship with one of our greatest enemies, but all of that is now perfectly ok and anyone who complains about it is just being mean and hateful to Trump?
Nope.

No, we don't walk away. But when we're holding on to something precious, we run.

Then he should have found a spine 16 months ago.

Yea. My mind boggles from family that would go on forever about Obama playing golf and wasn't it just once a year trip to Hawaii. I ask them all the time why they aren't bitching to the same level about trump and the best I get is a yea but think of all the good policies trump is doing. 🙄
