"Hound" from Northern California:
Who sent me the WAGS coupons from the baby book and the AXE BOGOF coupons??? They are fantastic, and I really appreciate them. Please let me know if you need anything. suzi: That could be murphath or p8nt. We used to have another Nor CA hound too - can't remember who the other one is.

suzi: Twasn't me who sent you those wonderful q's. Although I did go look for the AXE q's for you. Unfortunately, my inserts did not have those. The difference in q's between papers is exasperating! dancinmama:I miss the $4/$20 CVS q's too! I was lucky enough to get @ 4 from the leftover Weight Watchers weekly magazine a few weeks back. It was fun to be back in action again! It's amazing what that one discount can do.

herekittykitty: That's easy - get the Purex. I wish I could remember what I paid for my All stockpile. It was REALLY cheap at CVS. I THINK the bottles were on sale for $2.99 (it might have been $3.99), I used $2/1 Qs and $4/$20s and wiped out what little OOP I had with EBs. To tell you the truth, I REALLY think Tide, Wisk, All, Purex, and Arm&Hammer are all about the same quality as far as cleaning your clothes well is concerned. That's good to know...I haven't used many different brands. It sounds like $1 or less a bottle is your detergent stock up price? I need to aim higher...or lower as the case may be! I will be buying both the Wisk and the purex this week - I have a 4$/20 from CVS and I really liked the free sample from Wisk that I received last year. If I did not have the 4$/20, I would have been thinking twice, but the OOP for the Wisk will be cleared with it and I have been stockpiling detergent this year.

Has anyone been watching the swagbucks videos - each video will give you 10% and if you watch 10, you get 3 SB. You don't actually have to watch it unlike the RA Videos. You can just start it and switch to a different tab and it will credit you the percentage. I found some interesting videos and it's an easy 3 SB everyday.

dancinmama, It looks like there is a 5$/40 Q if you like CVS on FB. Not sure if it's a great deal, but thought I would mention it. Details on MFA.

The Betty Crocker cornbread mix is going to be on sale at WAGs for $.29/pkg. with in-ad coupon. I used this as a filler at Rite Aid a few weeks ago and we REALLY like it (I add 2T. of sugar to the mix). Anyway, I do not have any RRs and was trying to think of a way that I could get it cheaper than $.29/package. I called Betty Crocker for coupons, but according to what they told me, they will not come in time. I will try to get a rain check though so that I can use those coupons after the sale. Then I started scanning the 4/10 ad and I don't know WHY I didn't see this before (probably because it's not FREE after coupon AND giving a RR ). The Carefree liners (which I use all the time) will be $.99 and giving a $.99RR. Here's what I plan to do: $.99 (1) Carefree .09 Sales Tax 1.08 Subtotal - .50 (1) $.50/1 Carefree (3/27 RP) .58 OOP Rinse and repeat making my OOP $1.16 for (2) $.99 RRs. Then: 2.03 (7) Betty Crocker cornbread mix @ $.29/ea. (my store will let me exceed the limit on the in-ad Q) - 1.98 (2) $.99RRs (Carefree) .05 OOP Total OOP for RRs and product will be $1.21 for (7) packages or $.17 each as opposed to paying $.29 ea. which I think is still a great price for this product. I may do a rinse and repeat to stockpile (14) packages. I USUALLY make my cornbread from scratch, but tried this mix and we really liked it. It also makes just enough for the two of us to have cornbread with two meals. NOTE: The Betty Crocker mixes are good waaaaay past the date on the package. I found a hidden package of BC oatmeal cookie mix in my pantry. It was dated 9/07. I was going to just throw it out, but I decided that making it would be a good experiment. If it failed, all it was going to cost me was 1/2 C. Imperial (bought at $.99/lb) and an egg. If it was good, I would know that the shelf life of these mixes is a lot longer than stated on the package. So I whipped up the mix and tasted it. It tasted great. Then I added some raisins before baking. I did not tell my guys that the mix had an '07 expiration. They wolfed down those cookies like you wouldn't believe!!

Has anybody done the Wags Accu-chek MIR? I remember a similar sale to this week going on back in Jan when I joined, so has anyone who did it in Jan received their check yet? Can I do more than 1 per address? Does it matter if I leave the "diagnosis with diabetes" question blank? What about the Omega Fish Oil MIR? Anybody received their check yet? Has anbody come across the Nexcare bandages with the TMF peelies. I can't seem to find those at any of the Wags. leanna : Do you still need that Cottenelle 0.75/1 Q from me? Thanks! The peelies are everywhere here...if you want me to send you some, just PM me. Let me know if there are other q's you are looking for as well. Thanks herekittykitty ! Let me get back to you on this as I can't even find the product either...... have to buy the product in order to even submit the rebate, yes ? Did you find them in the First Aid section or perhaps its in some other aisle or maybe only certain areas carry it?

"The whole coupon beeping thing is crazy. Earlier this week, I went to my smaller RA, and I tried to buy the Physicians Formula "try me free" mascara using my $5 pdf. The coupon beeped and the casher tried it twice. Then she handed it back to me and said "It says item not found." I was tired so I didn't ask for a supervisor or anything. I just asked her to take the mascara off. "
I also had the PF Q beep at RA. It's expired, date on the one I had was 06/26/2010!
No bronzer for me.

I want to buy some SPAM (DH has been asking me to buy some). I have a rain check for $1.97/can and there is a $1/3 coupon that is going to expire on 4/13. If I have to bite the bullet and just pay for it with "for profit" EBs, that's what I'll do; but I was hoping to get it cheaper with maybe a $4/$20. I'm so bad. I know that $1.97/can is a REALLY good price for SPAM (that's why I snagged the rain checks in the first place), but I am always looking for a way to lower my OOP.

Does Wisk's have the "Free & Clear" brand? Thanks!

You are even going to make a profit in EBs!! That is EXACTLY the way that I like to play the game. I don't know if Wisk carries the "free and clear" variety. The last time I bought it, it was at CVS and I just checked my stockpile and what I bought was not "free and clear". I usually buy that variety just in case I am going to give some to my sister cuz that's all she can use. I don't know if they don't make a "free and clear" or if there wasn't any on the shelf when I went to do the deal. Sorry I can't help more.

FrugalSuz thanks so mug for.physicians formula at cvs. Other sites I use gave mc but not the $5 IP you posted. If not for that I wouldn't have bought any. On two cards I saw a $24 profit. I was planning on addingin another $20 in rebates. But rebate form says include try me free label. My packages didn't have that. Will rest of package from mascara be good enough? bluesclues: No, do not send it in without a TRY ME FREE sticker. Perhaps you can find them on one of the products at Rite Aid (if you have one). Darn. My stores all had a lot of stock and NONE of them had TMF stickers. I didn't think one was necessary, just UPC. No Rite Aid in Arizona. One person offered me one. If anyone else runs across one in their travels, I could use a second.

I refer to the WAGs deal - buy $10 worth of participating P&G products and get back $3RR. If your products comes up to $9.99, will the $3RR print? I just hate it whenever I am couple of pennies short but I have yet to 'test' the system. Anyone did? That is so irritating. I have had that happen to me before and cheapest thing would have been couple of dollars, nothing small to cover the penny. I wish stores would do away with the 99¢ on everything. Just make it a dollar.

New question for those of you who are not brand loyal for laundry detergent: what do you consider to be a stock up price for good quality detergent. I am thinking of something like Tide, Wisk, etc., not Extra. Wisk is BOGO at CVS this week, and I have $2 off q's, so with Ohio prices, I would be paying about $2.20 for each 32 load bottle. WAGS has Purex 32 load bottles this week for $1.99, and I have $1 off q's, so I can get those for .99. Thoughts? herekittykitty: That's easy - get the Purex. I agree. I am not brand loyal on laundry detergent at all. I used to buy Tide (well ex-hub did) but don't care what I use now. I go for a scent I like and get cheapest possible. I'm not out rolling in grass or dirt, just normal wear with some perspiration. I think the cleaning factor is all the same.

Also, for any dog lovers, Petsmart has the Chef Michael's Creations 11 lb. bag for $15.99, and there was a $10 off q (again, last week, I think), making it about $6 for 11 lbs of dog food. I am a newbie, but this scenario is about $.55 per pound of dog food, granted premium dog food. I recently got 48 pounds of Dog Chow at Walmart for what amounted to $.46 per pound, without any Q's. What do you all consider to be a good deal on dog food? I saw some people getting close to free a while back on the Iams, I think? I just don't want to get sucked into using Q's because they sound like a deal, but when I work it out per pound, it is costing more to use the Q. Snoopy has only ever eaten Iams. And I haven't had much luck getting it cheap. A few months ago I got the small bags for a good deal. Usually though only a dollar off a large bag. Anyway, I have recently gotten the Science Diet (free) and Pedigree (25¢ a pound) and stocked up. He hasn't eaten it yet. If it goes well, great. If not, I'll donate to a shelter. So unless he hates it (doubtful) I think 25¢ a pound will be my stockup price.

I have been using FREE dog food for a long time. It is an understatement to say that Buddy the Beagle is not discriminate when it comes to food. He likes EVERYTHING!! I just make sure that I introduce the new product gradually with the old. I started stockpiling The Goodlife when it first came out. I think I paid $.39 for the 7 lb. bags. Then before that ran out, Chef Michael's came out and I got it for free. Now, I am at the end of that, and in the meantime have stockpiled 100 lbs. of the Hills Science Diet for free and have a rain check for another 50lbs. and the new coupons that just came out will make it free. I also have a coupon for a FREE 20 lb. bag that Pedigree sent me when we adopted Rocket that doesn't expire until the end of the year. I will wait until December to use it so that the expiration date on the product is longer. If history repeats itself, another new dog food will come out that will be free with coupons (hopefully) before my current stockpile is gone. I have done the same thing with the kitty food. Milo ate FREE kitten chow (coupons came out the week we got him) probably past the time he was a kitten, but it didn't kill him. In the meantime I was able to stockpile kitten chow (free after $/$$, coupons, and "for profit" EBs at CVS). I hadn't used that up when the Meow Mix cups came out and were free with coupons. Milo prefers the kibble, but he WILL eat the wet food when he gets hungry enough. He is a big, beautiful tabby and deciding to wait an hour or two to eat what is put in front of him certainly will not hurt him. So I pretty much find a way to get my pet food for free and am grateful that our "kids" will pretty much eat whatever we give them.

Dog food - there's a decent deal on Iams right now. When you buy any bag 1.7lbs or larger, you can submit a form to get a "rebate" - a coupon good for a free 8lb bag. www.iams.com/dog-food/ProductFamilyIndex.aspx#Our local walmart has the small bags on clearance right now. So I plan to buy 5 of them & submit for the "rebates" (using all my relatives' addresses). This way I can get 40lbs of food for our dog for about $10. With a 100lb lab, we go through 40-50lbs per month! I try to stay under $.40/lb for her food. I need to start stocking up on the true freebies, but right now we just don't have a good place to store it. Hopefully when we move....

**Sorry, make that a 2lb bag, get any 8lb bag free. They are also running the same deal on Cat Food, and those bags need to be 1.7lbs or larger, and you will get a 4lb bag free.

OO - ok, last one I promise - I just realized that CVS sells Iams. If I "buy" it with my ECB, then I won't have any OOP cost. Then I can send in for the coupons and truely get free food for Lucy!! I only count my OOP towards my "cost" since it was getting too weird to track all the ups & downs in the EB amounts.

leanna- I don't have Albertson's proper, but have their sister store Acme. I don't shop there often because the prices are often much higher, but I do shop there some (shopped there all the time growing up). Shoot and I will see if I can answer your question.

Dancin, I think I'll have the same situation with Snoopy. So far he's eaten any samples of dog food I've received with no issues. So I don't think taking him off Iams will upset him much. In fact, when he gets something new, one would think he was given choice steak. Even just another plain old dry food is a delicacy to him when it's different.
My only issue now is I have a couple of Iam's rebates to send in, but my plastic tubs are full so I haven't opened the bags yet. I need to develop a patch or something I can put on the bag so I can cut out the UPC. I don't want to have to buy $15 plastic containers to get a $10 rebate.

Went to WAGS this morning. First thing I notice, the nice young cashier (OK, I've known the kid since he was 5, boy am I getting old) is studying the flyer when I walk in. I guess this is a good sign. So I go get the Colgate (free after RR, and I have $1 coupon) and Purex for $1.99. I bring up to the checkout, and he tells me that I should ring them up in 2 transactions, because I will get the toothpaste RR. I appreciate that he was trying to help me, but I explained to him that my 2nd transaction wouldn't be as much as the RR. But I told him I appreciate that he was trying to help!
I have LOTS of toothpaste at home. I understand about the expiration dates, but I can't pass up on free or MM deals. I have a good supply of Crest (DH and I use) and the kids use Colgate. 2 of the "kids" are in college, so everytime they are home I try to send them away with toothpaste, even encouraging them to give away to friends and roommates. We will someday work off our supply (although just bought another tube today).
DS 16 is working on the supply of men's body wash. I got all for free or MM about a year ago. My boys are not real happy with some of it, so they use it to wash the dogs. Gets the dogs clean, but the dogs smell a bit like men's cologne for a while...lol.

Duct tape would probably work well.
