My 11 year old nephew's Mets joke: What do the Mets stand for? My Entire Team Stinks (he's a Yankees fan though!)

They live in NJ, that's why they're Yankees fans. So? That's not a good excuse. Tomorrow afternoon at 4:05 I'll be on the couch, in front of the big TV with a beer in hand. <<swoon>> Malarky Red Sox.

I don't think we're going against SF! Are we? Now, minor league teams who might go up against SF do absolutely include the Mets

cael, I just had a bunch of stock clear with my company sale. I figured I'd treat myself to something nice. have fun next weekend, here's hoping the boys kick some Yankee ass! my first game isn't until 5/5, which is a couple days after I get back from a cruise. haha, maybe I should take that whole week off. I'm going to be pretty useless, I think.

Had I not been in a sleep deprived haze all week I might have realized that the Braves were opening their season in DC. Then again it sure wasn't baseball weather here today. I was at Pittsburgh opening day in 2008. Cubs beat them in extra innings. It was nice in the low 60s that day. Another season has started and the evil empire hasn't traded Swisher yet so I'm forced to cheer for him even though it goes against my hatred of the Yankees. He had a decent day today. He's got a ring, they can trade him any time now. Ken its sure not baseball weather. I saw a commercial last night, the horse track is supposed to open tomorrow. $2 beers and what do you know I'm off work ;D Then again the only outdoor activity I willingly do with temps in the 40s is tailgate and watch football games.

Once Austin Jackson was traded to Detroit, there was no way Swisher was going anywhere. You're stuck rooting for the Yankees

Actually I pretty much resigned myself to him being a Yankee when he seemed to fit in there. I would have never dreamed he would, he likes to have fun while he's playing and it shows. I just thought the Yankees were too stuffy, blue blood, whatever. And then last year all these stories came out about teammates saying he made the clubhouse a fun place.
His wife's based in LA though.

We have tickets to the Toronto game April 17. It's a long weekend for us because we always take Marathon Monday off. It's the only game we have tickets to so far this year. With the way this winter has gone, it'll probably still be snowing.

I kept finding two pairs of tickets, balcony too, and every time I'd complete the order, the ticketmaster website would fail & give me an error. I went through that like 4x and got so aggravated I called them. A girl placed the order for me on the phone. I'm hoping it actually went through, but I was charged so it better have! Wish we coulda gotten game 2 though, depending on what happens there may not even be a home game 3 for the b's

Life is good. I gotta beer. I got baseball. I don't have to wait for Sweet Caroline. Jake, I could have done without that first homer, but what the hell.

OK Red Sox fans... Does every freaking game have to be a nail biter? You never know til the end? Eighth and tied. Typical. So glad the season is here.
