Stayed home and ate up leftovers. Cold water laundry, line dried. Such an exciting life I lead.

Okay, as mentioned in a prior post, I ordered HBAs via Amazon this AM: 48 rolls TP 2 types deodorant=11 sticks 3-pack toothpaste A 12 pack bar soap A pack of 3 of DH's body wash they stopped carrying at WM and our grocery store. $104 w/ free shipping as I signed up for the free Prime for now. It's roughly the same cost as I would buy locally, but the convenience is going to be priceless. Shipped in 4 separate orders, my package handler is going to love me.

Batched errands saving time and gas. Win-win!
Put in a scalloped brick edging to keep the soil in the flower bed away from the log exterior of our house. We needed two corner pieces of the brick and found two broken pieces that were the right size. The store said they had to charge for the broken brick. We ended up paying a penny.

Actually we did save money on meat. We spent $330 on meat for the freezer. Went to the butcher shop. Found out the owners raise the animals they butcher and sell, its in amish country, all the girls working there are Amish and some I think are Mennonite. It's huge, I would say the meat is at least $2 or $3 less per pound on a lot of it. I think this will last us several months.
We had filet mignon for dinner, to die for.

We have some vendors in at work today. I noticed one was for the airport parking lot I use and I quit getting my discount last spring. I figured it just wasn't offered anymore. The code has changed. The representative is going to fix my account tomorrow when she's back in the office.

Just ordered DD some warm socks, she always has some on, her feet are cold. Me too. About it for today though. I did pay the light bill but just routine.

I don't know if I saved money, but I sold my mini-fridge and stand fan to a colleague for $40. He got a bargain since the fridge alone retails for $129 (I paid $89), and it is only 2 years old.
I just dreaded moving them home and then having to list them on FB. We already have a mini-fridge and several fans.
Now I only have to move them down the hall!

I was sitting at the computer doing something and realized I never received an order I made back in April (for some nice Israeli army surplus wool blankets, east coast army surplus company). I had called before my vacation but the phone appeared disconnected, so I sent an email (to prove to the credit card company that I had tried to resolve the issue on my own first). Got sick the day I woke up to come home from vacation, and forgot to contact the CC company until now. So, I finally filed my dispute.

I went grocery shopping and saved 43% off the bill last night so I am happy about that.

We finished the garden, so instead of spending money, hope to have lots of good veggies this summer.
Now hubs and I are going to work on weed block and mulch around plants. I just can't afford to hire someone to do it. I did one year as he was gone and I hurt my knee. Just to do it across the front of the house was over $400. Wow!

I went to Walmart to look for pots for my plants; came home and decided to use the ones I have! No money spent.

Spent 45 minutes on the phone with Sirius/XM to get my radio for $5 per month for 6 months. It's such a game to call and do this every six months.
I have a radio in the car and streaming. Streaming is a bit cheaper. They wanted to charge $160 for 6 months. No way.
The customer service rep asked what I was planning on doing if I didn't get the deal. Told him the truth. I will have it turned off. Then we talked and I got the deal. Will do this again in late November.
What a game.

Stayed home and did the usual boring, but frugal, activities (made my own coffee, ate from the freezer and pantry, cold water wash with line drying, no internet shopping).
Submitted the paperwork for the Dodge Ram EcoDiesel settlement. Just need to have the authorized, free, repair completed at the dealership. We will get this done at the same time we have the oil changed to save us an extra trip. The settlement check should be $3,075.

Saw gas prices went up. Saw a gas station .20 less than the other. Stopped. Used reward card saved another .10 per gallon. (Only need a few gallons)
I have been very good at fighting the urge to stop and pick up dinner.

I had lunch at the VA (free) came home and put the car in the garage. As usual, keeping the car in the garage I spend far less money. Since this is going to be a tight month, Not spending is the goal for the month.
I am buying gas today, Walmart has it @ $2.29 gal and using my WMT CC card I get a cash rebate each month.

Returned two fruit trees to the nursery; we planted them in March but they failed to grow. We were given store credit that we'll use either this fall or next spring.
Filled DH's truck and saved .70/gal with Fred Meyer gas rewards. June had 4x gas rewards plus I do their surveys for extra points.

I goofed in my last posting. In May Fred Meyer had a 4x gas reward promo thus the .70 savings. Fred Meyer has a June gas reward promo going on too but I don't plan on doing any heavy shopping this month.

~$40-ish Had time in between appointments yesterday and refrained from going into Barnes and Noble.

Today is day 3 of staying home. Plan on doing some laundry and maybe going through my soup recipes for this upcoming fall and winter. My plan is to buy needed ingredients little by little until October.

As usual, the widowed church ladies go out to lunch together after church. Today, instead of ordering a lunch meal costing $12 or more I ordered grilled cheese sandwich that came with potato chips. Grand total including tip, $7.
Yea me, and it's nice having a happy check book.

I ordered something. It said on one tunic that if that one was ordered, the rest of the order was free shipping. NOT. I chatted and still NOT. I am beginning to like tunics to cover my hip area. These are short sleeve summery. I ordered men's linen shorts $16.99 vs women's ugly linen shorts at $34. Yesterday at CVS, I had a $2 extra bucks that I used on a 2 for $6 sharable size M&Ms. M & Ms are the usual purchase with extra bucks or big % reduced coupon. I also had a 50% off any item under $10 so I got large rolls of bounty paper towels. I know the coupons bring the price down to about the Walmart price .
I read an article that said the pharmacies that also offer groceries have a larger market share than some grocery stores. The convenience of not having to make another stop after picking up scripts. I know this isn't low carb but I have been eating baked potatoes. I don't get hungry in a couple of hours. That cuts down one snack.
