Clark should not have ordered the pool until he had the bonus in his hand and he knew how much it was.
And he never should have written that $7,500 deposit check since he didn't have enough money in his account to cover it without the bonus.

they also have a really nice house for a single breadwinner family living in the Chicago suburbs.

they also have a really nice house for a single breadwinner family living in the Chicago suburbs. That issue is true for almost every single sitcom and movie out there save for a few where the storyline specifically involves how the character is "poor."

It sucks when you can't relate to a popular movie/TV show... You're just not (or are no longer) the target audience? I have the same feeling about the new Star Wars movie.

I watched it last night!
What bugged me most is people freaking out and fainting because there's a squirrel in the house. Fainting? Seriously?
It's a squirrel, not a Bengal Tiger with rabies.

When I was growing up I had a neighbor sitting down to xmas eve dinner with their family when a squirrel fell down their fireplace, lit on fire, and ran all over the house before dying in a bedroom.
A lot more faint worthy than the Griswold scene.

"Sh!tter's full!" Shall forever and eternally be hysterical. Don't care if people judge me for it.
DH and I use the line "I don't know Margo!" a lot.

It will forever be my favorite Christmas movie. YM has ruined nothing for me . As for the bonus thing...I know people who do stupid shit like that all the time in real life. The most annoying TV show for me was One Tree Hill. You had all these kids right out of college landing big important jobs, opening up their own businesses, and living in fancy apartments. Geez, get real...no wonder millenials are so disappointed

I just rewatched the episode where Chandler is supposed to move in with Monica, Rachel with Phoebe, and poor Joey on his own. Chandler is instructing Joey on what the bills are and he offers to help Joey out for a while. Joey refuses and later Chandler and Phoebe are talking about it and Chandler says if he gave Joey $1500 that should cover him for three months. I know the building they are in is rent control but damn!! That is some cheap New York City rent.

$1500 would maybe cover your share of the rent in an 2 bedroom apartment with 2 other people in Midtown....

Friends specifically says several times the girls are living in an illegal rent controlled sublet More than once. They say it in the first episode ("if anyone asks, I'm an 80 year old lady who is scared of her VCR") and the super brings it up when he needs Joey to help him practice dancing.

Apparently there is a direct sequel made in 2003 involving Eddie getting stuck on a deserted island. Horrific reviews and I had never heard of it.

I'm trying to decide between $3.99 to watch once and $7.88 for the DVD. It doesn't seem right that neither of my kids have seen this yet. I feel it's a parental obligation. But will they want to watch it more than once? Apparently Redbox has an on demand service too. I can watch it through there for 2.99 in SD.

She was paying $750/month in NC for a 3 BR house. No friggin way is that happening here in the city. You can't find a 1 BR apartment in a decent area for that here, forget a house.

I have literally hundreds of DVDs that just sit in boxes because they never get watched again. With the exception of ones Carrot latches onto when new and we watch 10 million times in a couple months, THEN they sit in boxes never to be watched again.

So, I asked my kids about this movie over dinner. Older son had never heard of it but Carrot just saw it yesterday! Apparently his Dad feels all kids should see this movie too. He loved it and wants to see it again. So I guess I'll still rent for his brother.

My life is so boring. Why do other people always get the exciting stuff like flaming squirrels and rabid Bengal tigers? All I have are moles in the yard, the occasional black snake in the garage, and the mummified remains of what appears to have been a fox in the woods.

You can always tell folks it is mummified remains of Chupacabra! That should bring a little excitement in your life since this creature is rarely seen dead, alive or mummified.
