I'm a bit older than many of you. I never got why so many people loved the movie Pretty Woman.

Peter Jackson's The Hobbit movies. Loved his Lord of the Rings movies. While I think the Lord of the Rings movies were generally good, they really needed to be about 1/2 the length they were. It's called editing, Peter!!! I have to be doing other things while the movies are playing because otherwise I annoy the rest of the family by getting restless and screaming things like, "Oh my God, yes, you're friends, you little Hobbit freaks! Good, simple, loyal friends. Got it. Can you please just move on to doing something interesting?!?" or "Yes, yes, you're tired and the ring is heavy. Keep walking, people!!!" I didn't even try to watch the Hobbit movies. Making 3 movies out of what was one short, fairly boring book? Kill me now. There was no way I'd make it through any one of those movies without popping a vein in frustration.

I read all the books, and was surprised amd impressed by how much they were followed in the movies. I still haven't seen the Hobbit movies, though.

I watched the first Hobbit movie. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to read the book. I won't be done in by a book. I will succeed. Maybe. Eventually.

I tried to like Fifty Shades and The Da Vinci Code. Couldn't finish them. Awful books. The writing was so terrible, I wanted to gouge my eyes out.

Eggs. People refuse to believe I hate eggs. I'm 34 years old, I am confident at this point it's not because I haven't had them cooked properly. Then I found out Guy Fieri hates eggs and I was no longer alone in the universe. It's ok, my DS is eating your share. I love watching the episodes where egg is on the food that's getting shown off.

I loved the extended versions and even watched them all in the theater in the 2nd row for the opening of the 3rd movie, but this is the first thing that has made me laugh all day and I SOOOOOO needed it!

There was no way I'd make it through any one of those movies without popping a vein in frustration. X (then BF) made me watch LOTR with him. The first time I fell asleep 20 minutes in (why does the movie take so long to get started?!). The second time I had to physically hold my eyelids open after the 1.5 hour mark. I still didn't make it through - X got frustrated with me after the 2 hour mark and turned it off - WHEW! IMO that movie is mind-bleedingly boring and slow and just .... no! Why is the story so slow to get started? It's like reading Hemingway books - why are you describing a dang tree for an entire page? It's a tree - MOVE ON!!! JFC!!!

Oh man, I loved the LOTR and Hobbit movies! Of course, I loved the books too. I read them back in high school and then again in my 30's. Older son is really getting into them now.

I think I tried reading The Hobbit in HS, but IIRC, there was a glossary. I hate stories with glossaries, it pulls me out of the story too much. So I never did read it. I did watch the 2nd Hobbit movie, mostly to hear the dragon talk.

Cats I hated that show. I took DD to the live theater version in Houston, she LOVED it, I fell asleep.
She also wore out I don't know how many DVD's of that thing.

The secretary in my office when the movie was popular had watched it like 100 times. She talked about it daily. Her husband had even set up a television near the bathtub so she could watch it while she soaked in the tub. Maybe because she talked about it so much, I heard so much that it couldn't live up to my expectations.

Sushi. Tried it a few times - nope. White Water Rafting - Class 3, 4 and 5's. - Nope. Took the kids on a "family" rafting trip this past summer - that was more my speed - no class 3, 4 or 5's. Reality TV - nope. (except HGTV)

Not sure if anyone has said it yet but I don't get why people are so in love with iPhones. I can't understand spending $600 - $700 on a stupid phone. My phone died a couple of days ago and I bought a new one last night. I spent $150 on a Moto Gen 4 and was pissed about spending that much!

50 Shades. Reality TV, other than home improvement stuff. I tried 50 Shades and couldn't finish reading it...neither one of the characters are likable. I tried it before all the rage. After everyone and their brother started talking about it I tried it again, nope still thought it sucked. I tried about 10 minutes of The Bachelor - Seriously WTF - who is watching this crap

The guy last night tried to sell me the iPhone 10. I was wearing professional clothes because I came from a meeting and he said "you look too well put together to walk around with a cheap phone" LOL!

My phone died a couple of days ago and I bought a new one last night. I spent $150 on a Moto Gen 4 and was pissed about spending that much! I've spent as little as $50 and as much as $580 on phones. I haven't bought an iphone yet. I don't want to update all my chargers and have to buy a new phone every year. For me it's about the camera. I have wee ones and take a lot of pics. Toddlers don't like to sit still for pics so a quick shutter is key. Carrying a separate camera everywhere just isn't practical. My phone service is only $30/month so I figure it averages out over 2 years. The thing that confuses me is the people who get middle of the road phones through contract carriers and pay $70+/month for service. It's not that expensive to buy the phone outright.

White chocolate.
White chocolate is not chocolate. It is an abomination. I'm looking forward to Ruby 80 years after the introduction of White chocolate Barry Callebaut presents the fourth type in chocolate ‘Ruby’ next to Dark, Milk and White chocolate Ruby chocolate is an intense sensorial delight. A tension between berry-fruitiness and luscious smoothness Ruby chocolate is made from the Ruby cocoa bean; through a unique processing, Barry Callebaut unlocks the flavor and color tone naturally present in the Ruby bean. No berries or berry flavor is added. No color is added www.barry-callebaut.com/news/2017/09/barry-callebaut-reveals-fourth-type-chocolate-ruby

I guess the lesson here is you need to be strung out on narcotics to get through it.

They are in love here with Apple so my work computer is one. I must be the stupidest person on the planet because I cant see how its so much more streamlined and user friendly than a PC. It makes me long for the annoying paper clip guy that used to pop up asking if you need help.

Did you know if you edit out the naughty bits of the commercials and then run them side by side with a Twilight commercial you can't tell the difference. I discovered this when I was half watching TV and saw the bit where I guess Christian saves Anatasia in an alley. For one horrified moment I thought they were releasing a new Twilight movie.

I had to use my son's old iphone for the past 6 weeks because the charging port failed on my S5. I was not a fan. I finally got so sick of it that I now lug around a portable charger and extra battery just so I could go back to my Android with the busted charging port.
