... I imagine I will now be taken to task on what a terrorist truly is, ... Terror/terrorist have become words without any meaning so they can't be misused any longer.

I don't think she's a terrorist based on the article. I do think she should resign.
I don't care who the president is, publicly wishing for their assassination is ridiculous.

can a terrorist really be called a terrorist if they have not committed a crime of terrorism? I don't think so.

Is the assassination of a head of state am act of terror? Is publicly hoping for the assassination of a National leader to happen, not an act of promoting terrorism? Are you under any illusion no one ever wrote or said “I hope Obama is assassinated!”? If you are not, can you tell me how many of those who did were arrested and convicted for their comments. Remember, she did not say she wanted to kill trump. The woman only wished someone other than herself would do it. And wishing and hoping someone else would do it is far different than saying she planned on committing the deed herself. Writing on Facebook “I hope Trump is assassinated!” was stupid. And the only thing she is guilty of is stupidity. The woman should resign and if she doesn't, the electorate should vote her out next election.

I have no doubt that there were some whack jobs out there that posted that they hope Obama for assassinated. But I hold elected officials to a much higher standard. It is not criminal as she didn't threaten to kill him but it is definitely disgusting and totally unacceptable

Absolutely. Are you saying that any sane person thinks anyone should be assassinated? how do you get that out of my question to VB....? You asked if he would be just as outraged over the same comment directed towards Obama. That is actually insulting to VB...any decent person would be outraged regardless of whether they agreed with the president or not. I personally didn't like Obama and didn't agree with most of what he stood for. But he was the president of the US and never would I have wanted him asassinatwd. Kind of sad that you posed that question to VB.

I didn't say that I thought VB wanted Obama to be assassinated. do not put words in my mouth. I wondered, as did at least one other poster after me, as to whether VB was just as outraged for similar comments about Obama. or any other previous President, for that matter. the two are not the same.

I cannot confirm, or deny I did or did not express concern or outrage over similar comments about Obama as a fact. I hope I did. I cannot explicitly remember if I did. Are we talking board members, or Joe citizen in the outback Of America at the time? I am sure there is more than one member here willing to dig up my old posts to confirm or deny this statement. That said, I cannot remember any State or Federal Legislator that did wish President Obama be assassinated. If they did do it, I am sure I expressed the proper moral outrage over the act at the time. Should we ask Virgil if he would be welling to dig my old posts up to decide the issue?

We have members in Congress that are as bad in public as she was on Facebook, and nothing happens to them. Think the Congresswoman from Los Angeles.......

We have members in Congress that are as bad in public as she was on Facebook, and nothing happens to them. Think the Congresswoman from Los Angeles....... Or even worse than putting something on Facebook, how about the South Carolina congressman who blurted out in the middle of President Obama's state of the union address, "You Lie!". I can only imagine what the guy said about Obama in private. Or how about the one-time candidate for NY governor and political ally of trump/and the New York co-chair of Trump's campaign who in late 2016 said: "Obama catches mad cow disease after being caught having relations with a Herford. He dies before his trial and is buried in a cow pasture next to Valerie Jarret, who died weeks prior, after being convicted of sedition and treason, when a Jihady cell mate mistook her for being a nice person and decapitated her." And about Michelle Obama, "I’d like her to return to being a male and let loose in the outback of Zimbabwe where she lives comfortably in a cave with Maxie, the gorilla." This guy was removed the other day from the Buffalo Board of Education after leaking confidential information obtained during executive sessions. There are plenty of stupid public figures saying really stupid things, past, present, and most definitely in the future.

There was a woman recently that tweeted John McCain should just f****** die already or something like that too.
www.cnn.com/2017/07/17/politics/diana-orrock-john-mccain/
I guess I agree she should resign, b/c I don't want to live in a society that wishes for the death of those that don't agree with them. That is not supposed to be what we are all about.
