On GMA (ABC) this morning, the opening news was of course about trump and his comments from yesterday. One of the anchors stated the show asked the White House for a representative to be on the show to discuss yesterday but the White House declined.

Unfortunately, I've seen plenty of people on Facebook supporting his comments; railing against fake news; and stating that the left instigated violence against peaceful alt-right marchers (you know, the ones marching with guns, helmets, and shields).

People are disgusted with him. Well.....more disgusted than usual.

Getting closer to an article 25. I bet Pence is collecting support.

It's worth noting tho that Pence cancelled everything, including a meeting with some foreign President & is coming back to the US asap. Supposed to meet with trump at Camp David this weekend.
Article 25 anyone?

Nope. I think we're stuck with him for at least another year, maybe longer.

The problem with Article-25'ing Trump is... then we have Pence bring God into the White House, at full Presidential strength. Is that really any better... or is it just a different branch of "bad for America"?

The problem with Article-25'ing Trump is... then we have Pence bring God into the White House, at full Presidential strength. Is that really any better... or is it just a different branch of "bad for America"? At least it would hopefully be less like riding one of those whip it rides at the county fair, where we're constantly bouncing from one outrageous tweet or speech to another till we've all got headaches and motion sickness. Pence's White House would be a bland tea and dry toast place, with Pence making boring but inoffensive speeches.
Trumps minions like Pruitt and Devos have been eagerly disassembling government behind the scenes, and this would certainly continue with Pence, but at least without the carnival show going on in the oval office 24/7, the rest of us might be able to actually focus on that damage and figure out how to work to stop it.
Then hopefully in 2020 the dems could get organized enough they can present a candidate who can run against the party that brought us the chaos candidate/theocracy and win.

This gets even better! White House officials absent from Sunday showsNow they're not willing to talk about Trump at all. Neither Congress nor the White House. And the White House wants to send out Jerry Falwell, Jr. to speak for him? The head of a large evangelical college whose support for Trump is causing graduates to return their diplomas in protest? LMAO

Speaking of Jerry Falwell Jr. and Liberty University: Some Liberty University Grads Are Returning Their Diplomas To Protest TrumpA group of alumni from one of the country's most influential evangelical Christian universities is condemning their school's president for his continued alignment with President Trump. A small but growing number of Liberty University graduates are preparing to return diplomas to their school. The graduates are protesting university President Jerry Falwell Jr.'s ongoing support for Trump. They began organizing after Trump's divisive remarks about the deadly white supremacist protests in Charlottesville, Va. Chris Gaumer, a former Student Government Association president and 2006 graduate, said it was a simple decision. "I'm sending my diploma back because the president of the United States is defending Nazis and white supremacists," Gaumer said. "And in defending the president's comments, Jerry Falwell Jr. is making himself and, it seems to me, the university he represents, complicit." Of course, as the quotes presumably made clear. I'm sure they could find a whole bunch of neo-Nazis and KKK members to speak in support of Trump. Is that what you want to see?

I'm sure he has supporters who aren't racist or nazis but that doesn't fit the profile

Even supporters who are not racists or Nazis are at least able to condemn the comments.

I see. So if someone believes that both sides are wrong, they're racist nazis. Is that what you're saying?

You are aware by now that all of the racists (KKK, white supremacists, etc.) and neo-Nazis are celebrating his comments, so you should be able to draw your own conclusion, I would think.

What I realize is that just like some people think politicians represent the people that voted them in, even though they don't, that what is happening is a reaction to what has been happening in the past. It's just as wrong now as it was then. But it seems to be excusable depending on who is doing it. Evil is evil, regardless of color.

Evil is being both condoned and pandered to now. It wasn't before. That's the difference.

What is your interpretation of trump saying "many fine people on both sides " when one of those sides was kkk/nazis?

What kind of "good people" march next to someone carrying a Nazi flag? What kind of "good people" stand shoulder to shoulder with the KKK? I can't think of a single cause that would justify marching with nazis & the kkk.
Not the definition of "good people" that I would have.

There were people there who didn't want the statue removed. That's their right to be there. They all weren't members of the kkk or a nazi. If you think that way then anyone who happens to be around a BLM person would automatically be a thug?

No, but I'm also not saying everyone that attended the Charlottesville rally was a nazi. The door swings both ways not just one way.

I'm sorry but not surprised that you don't see mine. BLM could start in their own backyards and neighborhoods if they wanted to feel like their lives matter. When you don't care about yourself, why should you expect others to? I still remember the nazis marching through Skokie. Do you?
