I have watched the video of the car hitting all those people a number of times and I have yet to see "On Many Sides" driving it.

And since being forced to denounce them he has 'accidentally' retweeted things from an alt right source, a train called trump running over CNN, an acknowledgment he trump is a fascist, and a news source about his intentions to pardon arpaio.... wonder who those were for? hm?

Then he deleted the tweets. I believe someone tells him he is wrong and he listens to them. He doesn't listen to many people. He also seems to have a difficult time speaking his own words. His writers must be busy.

It can become quite obvious when politicians are speaking from notes prepared for them. This is especially true for President Trump. The rhythm of his voice when reading prepared comments is so obvious. I think it is good that he proclaimed these prepared comments. I just wish he could speak the same sentiment (and believe them) without someone spoon feeding the words.

His writers must be busy. I think it's Kelly. I think Kelly is doing a superhuman job trying to limit access to the Oval Office (in order to avoid all the various WH factions stirring up Trump in the first place) and in trying to corral Trump into some semblance of a dignified head of state, which includes tamping down (or deleting) Trump's more provocative tweets.
He should try what we did to our computer illiterate boss - we took away his keyboard and gave him a broken one. He never even noticed.
I'm sure there's a kid's fake Iphone gadget that will play some pleasant songs and flash some exciting lights while the president presses the buttons - maybe they can swap that out for the real thing. He'll be able to amuse himself without annoying the rest of us.

happyhoix I think you are right. Kelly is a stabilizing force who won't bend to Trump like most do. Unlike others he doesn't need Trump for validation.

Wow. Kelly just saw the limits of his influence. Trump at his most despicable yet. You know Trump kept a book of Hitler's speeches by his bed, don't you? Did Kelly? * * ETA- Did Kelly- know that Trump kept that nasty book of Hitler's by hos bedside? Did you see Kelly's body posture at Trump's news conference?
Trump was supposed to talk about something else entirely, but when the reporters started asking questions about Charlottesville and Trump became visibly unhinged, poor Kelly stood there with his head slumped forward, his arms crossed, looking like someone just shot his dog.
I don't envy the guy, trying to force Trump into some semblance of presidential behavior. What a shitty job.
I think either Kelly will have to quit soon (or be fired) or Kelly will call on some of his military buddies (or maybe Disney) to build a cyber-Trump life size puppet that can be manipulated from behind the scenes by the grown ups while the real Trump gets locked into a back room with a table full of burnt steaks and ketchup.

So, no tweets about that bombshell press conference Trump did yesterday from the head Twitterer - just tweets about everything else this morning.
In a day or two Trump will whine about how no one is talking about the really important stuff, like how fabulous the economy is and how many bazillion jobs he's created, without ever realizing that the reason no one is talking about that stuff is because Trump himself shot himself in the foot by once again running his outrageous mouth and offending everyone except for a small sliver of his racist, Nazi base.
Sad!

I feel sorry for Kelly because I think he's an honorable, dedicated man who served the country well in the military.
I heard that some of the calmer heads in DC coaxed Kelly into taking on this job because they wanted to insert a grown up rational person next to Trump, his phone and the nuclear codes. However, Trump appears to not have any understanding about how he is perceived by others. I'm certain he thinks his rant last night made him seem strong; he's clueless why so many people (including those in his own party and the CEO's on his advisory boards) are so appalled, and probably thinks this is a petty thing that will soon blow over, if the fake media would only focus on the things he wants them to focus on.
Kelly can't do anything about that lack of empathy.

I have conflicted feeling, I actually decided that expecting people like Kelly to leave this administration is not the best thing for the country. We need some sane, level headed people around Trump.
