Let's be clear: there is NO LINK between President Trump, nor any of his supporters, and any white nationalist, neo-nazi, or white supremacist leader, organization, or movement. None. Trump = Bannon = Brietbart = Alt right
Did you see the video of the guys marching around Charlottesville doing the Nazi salute screaming "Heil Hitler?"
Or do you think these neo-Nazi guys all just have a big man crush on Trump because of all the awesomeness - and how can Trump be blamed for being so gosh darn wonderful?
I also heard "Heil Trump" in the snippets they showed on the news last night - obviously its all fake news

He thought it important enough to twitter his snarky tweet about the Merck CEO resigning about 30 minutes after it happened.
How long did it take for him to even comment on the Charlottesville rally? And then 3 days for him to actually have a news conference where he says the words 'white supremists are bad?'
Yes - VERY clear what's important to him and what someone on his staff or in his family nags him to pretend is important to him so that he finally grits his teeth and does it. You know, I'd expect this from Trump. Know what made me cry, this morning? The fact that I've yet to hear his supporters come out on here and say "Yeah, this shit is screwed up." I'm really, really surprised here, that his supporters are silently agreeing with all the stuff that's going on. Because if they would have disagreed with it, they would have said something. And I just don't understand it. The cognitive dissonance. Why would educated, intelligent women here brush by the fact that Trump is happy with supporters that think women should have no rights, because they are women? I don't understand. Why aren't they offering explanations of why a failed healthcare plan is more important than seeing women as something other than property I'm to the point where I think I've really lost faith in humanity...where people are willing to stop and step up for what's right. I'm not really sure who you're directing this statement to.
I don't consider myself a "Trump supporter." I have criticized and praised him for different things, as I do with any president.
I don't think Trump is a white supremacist. But I think all political parties have extremist/outside the pale elements that cling to their hulls like barnacles on the hull of a ship. Whether it's the protesters/rioters of the BLM or the white supremacists.
Regarding Charlottesville, what's happening there is messed up.

SURE you do, Paul! Did you condemn Trump for calling black people lazy? Did you condemn him for not renting to blacks? Did you condemn him for saying he doesn't want black people counting his money?
No, not so much. Not a peep out of you. So spare us the platitudes of how much you condemn racism.

Of course you don't. He just plays to the white supremists: he built his political career on the racist birther lie; he winked and nodded to the racists during his campaign; he placed three men with ties to these groups in positions of power and responsibility; and waited 2 days to (sort of) call them out; oh yeah, he's "considering" pardoning Joe Arapiao. So whether or not YOU consider him a white supremist is pretty irrelevant.

I don't think Trump is necessarily a white supremacist. I do think he is a narcissist, which means he is utterly loath to denounce anyone or anything he perceives as loyal to him. (This is why he's had much harsher words for Mitch McConnell and Jeff Sessions recently than he has for David Duke... ever.) Some conservative bloggers have pointed out the relative lack of political acumen signified by raking your own Senate Majority Leader over the coals, but I don't think that matters to Trump -- McConnell betrayed him by not repealing ACA and he needs to pay, period. Just like Sessions betrayed him by recusing and not killing the Russia investigation. David Duke has had nothing but praise for him so far, so he's not such a bad guy. As long as the alt-right leadership is loyal to Trump and says the things he wants to hear, he's not going to denounce them (at least not without a hearty wink). Richard Spencer and I can agree on one thing, no one believes that Trump believed what he was saying when he said "racism is bad." If the racist Trump really believed that "racism is bad", he wouldn't have surrounded himself with other racists in his administration.

You keep regurgitating fake news. Trump made a statement on the hatred and violence in Charlottesville immediately.

.....and you keep regurgitating fake platitudes about how much you condemn racism. When all this racist stuff about Trump was made public during the campaign, what did you do?
YOU SENT HIM MONEY! He was your hero.
We're not buying what you're peddling.

When he comes on and says if he had a son, he'd be like David Duke, then I'll be offended.
